We weren’t even sure if we were going to dine at Fritzenberger tonight and we barely glanced at the menu but what changed everything was Locke, the manager, and his incredibly warm and genuine hospitality. His friendly personality, welcoming smile, open body language, and generous tone made us feel instantly comfortable. He invited us to take a seat, browse the menu at our leisure, and never once made us feel rushed or pressured. That alone spoke volumes.
The bartender was a little shy, but carried himself with quiet professionalism; attentive, and service with a smile.
But the standout of the evening? The waitress, I wish I could remember her name, (I think it was Holly) she was truly the treasure of the night. Professional, efficient, and polished, she carried herself with a standard you rarely see, even in fine dining. Her energy and service elevated our entire experience.
As for the food, wow! We placed our order and within minutes, it was at our table, piping hot and clearly freshly made. The temperature, presentation, and flavour were absolutely spot-on. Every bite was delicious. Meals were reasonably priced considering other places.
The music was just right and relaxing, age-appropriate, and at a perfect volume that allowed us to have a conversation without shouting. The environment was clean, welcoming, and clearly well-maintained.

Attended with family, staff couldn’t care to speak with us, yet we still sat down. We ordered via QR code, I’m Coeliac and paid the extra for the gluten free bun on the burger. There’s zero indication on their ordering system as to what is GF and what isn’t, I made a note to please make the burger coeliac friendly we all added fries or loaded fries to the meal. We waited 10 mins and a staff member came out and told us that the burger I ordered had to be adjusted as it had sauce that wasn’t Gf, fine no drama. We then waited an additional 20 mins only for the same staff member to return and say that the fries where not GF and the chef stuck her head over the window and said they have a coating so can’t be GF and therefore there are no sides that are GF. Fine. Staff member returned rather rudely and pushed an eftpos machine in my face 10 mins later the food turned up entirely cold, fries and loaded fries were inedible. Once it had arrived we set up the table, got drinks, got cutlery and then opened the bag and took the contents out of the bag. They only provided one beer battered onion chips. They had messed up our order. Now this is a problem but not a problem worth writing a review about. However, the fact that I have called them 38 times and they have not picked up the phone is just shameful. What is the point of having a phone number for your business and not using it? Being busy and not being able to pick up is understandable, but 38 calls means almost 30min of the phone ringing and not one worker thought they should pick up the phone.
