Lively and delicious Mexican fare in Southbank Guzman y Gomez Southbank is a great spot for a quick and casual Mexican meal. The counter-serve chain is always lively, with a steady stream of customers coming and going. The menu features all the classics, from tacos and burritos to nachos and quesadillas. I usually go for the al pastor tacos, which are always juicy and flavorful. The burritos are also a good option, and they come in a variety of sizes to suit your appetite. The service at Guzman y Gomez is always friendly and efficient. The staff are always happy to help you choose something from the menu, and they're always up for a chat. The food is prepared fresh to order, so you can be sure you're getting a good quality meal. The prices at Guzman y Gomez are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food. You can get a good meal for under $10, which is great value for money. Overall, Guzman y Gomez Southbank is a great option for a quick and delicious Mexican meal. The food is good, the service is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend it! Here are some additional tips for writing a Google review: Be specific. What did you order? What did you like or dislike about the food? Be honest. Don't be afraid to share your negative experiences as well as your positive ones. Be helpful. Give other users tips for what to order or what to avoid. Be respectful. Even if you had a bad experience, there's no need to be rude or offensive. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Service: Very poor service. Menus not available until you get to the counter to order. Screens didn't work and I had no idea what the options were. Zero customer service or help offered to order when I could have been given a run down of what was on offer and spend money to buy lunch. Clearly the young man taking the order was new and the girl instructing him had a sullen look on her and didn't want to be there, wasn't giving any good advice and ignoring the staff member in training. Food: On first inspection my salad looked OK. However it was missing the guacamole which I had to ask for twice when ordering. When I asked the sullen girl at the counter she almost read my mind and knew it was missing guacamole. No apology just slapped it on and gave it back. Also the greens in the salad were either unwashed or old. Neither option is good. Chopped up tomatoes don't count as salsa. For $14 it was a rip off. Atmosphere: Plenty of outside space. Comfortable and shady. The birds hang around snacking on left overs if they aren't removed. But there was one particular gentleman who was very good at clearing up after dirty people. I like the recycling options, well done. You had one job. Offer clear friendly customer service and tasty Mexican food. Clearly they are struggling to perform this. Management needs a kick up the butt. How disappointing as I usually like Guzman y Gomez.

Extremely difficult to communicate with the sales girl. I specifically asked for corn tortilla chips and salsa....probably the most mexican-esque thing you can order, and she was very confused by my request, but i figured she would realize what i meant.

It took the staff 4 attempts to get the tortilla chips and salsa order sort of correct.

First guy, Sebastian brought me over soft shell tortillas and peco cheese.

Next girl brought over french fries and peco

Third time, Sebastian comes back with yet again, french fries and peco cheese and insists its what i ordered.

I explain to him, for the 5th time tonite what i ordered, and he tells me he has an amazing memory and that i ordered french fries and peco cheese. He even says thatz what iz on the receipt, and goes and prints off a copy of it. And yup, right on the receipt it says fries and cheese. I explain the comnunication difficulties i had and it was probably just a misunderstanding. The guy makes a big deal of it, and storms off angrily, and finally comes back with......tortilla chips....and guacomole.

I swear, i just cant win.

I take the guacomole back up to the counter, and have to essentially explain what salsa is and finally, after about 20 minutes, I get what I ordered.

Most of the staff was nice, although extremely difficult to affectively communicate with. That id except their guy who works there named Sebastian. He is extremely rude, inconsiderate and generally comes off as a smartass.

The food was subpar. The rice was not cooked and the steak in my tacos tasted vwry odd.

I would not reccomend this particular...
