We were staying at the embassy suites, it was a package that came with a bunch of coupons including one for a $20 discount for IHOP. So we went there for bfast. It was take out due to Covid of course. The two ladies we dealt with were nice and courteous. Portions were really good and food was really good overall. The surprise was with the bill (see picture). Food before tax was a total of $43.47, they actually didn't bill us for coffee. Total was $62.39. (pre-tip!!) however which triggered some questions on my side. You must know that: taxes are on top (expected) a 17% service charge is actually built into the total already, and they didn't mention it whatsoever (!!) city of Niagara Falls charges an extra "development fee" (called NFDF on the receipt), which we also didn't know about not knowing, I added an extra 10% tip on top of the $42 total (total after applying the $20 coupon)... The payment terminal prompt you for tip.
So the whole bill was significantly higher than the food itself and the coupon basically was covering the fees and taxes.
I actually had a discussion with the waitress on this, I think they should be more transparent about fees that are already included. On the bright side they didn't charge us for coffees which normally was apparently $4 ea. Can't...
Read moreI had read the previous reviews and yet decided to give it a shot because of nostalgia (and lack of time). I can confirm and say that - it is bad, really bad. Do not expect this to be at par with the other IHOPs that you may have experienced outside of Niagra.

My wife ordered a cold coffee and a combo meal. The sausage and ham in the meal tasted weird while the "cold coffee" was "watery.
Conclusion: The only positive is that the location was convenient. Would highly recommend to find another place to have breakfast. To be fair to IHOP, expect the prices of breakfast to be almost or relatively the same as IHOP...
Read moreYou are Paying for the view! Like many others that left reviews, when you see the menu prices, they will seem extremely high USD for an IHOP breakfast, but remember your over looking Niagara Falls.
We didn’t need reservations as we were able to walk up and be seated immediately. Hard to get best view when busy.
Food was typical IHOP food. We opted for breakfast food, hand Ike the kids chose lunch.
Service - Could’ve been better, as we sat over by the bar along the window and constantly saw the staff congregating and on their phones, while guests waited.
Food - Most items were prepared well, had to send one item back that was supposed to be “plane”, but came out with dressing and all the garnishments.
Atmosphere was great, something we wanted the kids...
