Omg they had the best sausage in beer and onions. If you manage to find this place while you are in Prague you've hit a jackpot. The place is pretty large and has great food. I tried the sausage im beer and onions. The food selection for meat lovers is awesome. If you are a vegetarian don't expect too much but there is a menu for you too so don't worry. Deserts are great and you should definitely try fried apples and fried potato dough in vanilla sauce. The first Pilsner Urguell beer was drawn right here and you can see the first tap installed on the basement level just to your left when you get to the bottom of the stairs. Lover/basement level is where the restrooms are too.

I went to this restaurant and ordered a Roasted Pork Knuckle, but I found some plastic wire in my food; when I nicely asked the waiter where the wire was from, he callously snatched the contaminated dish away without offering any explanation or apology. Fortunately, we had photo evidence of this unacceptable incident. Shockingly, no one bothered to address the issue or extend an apology. Instead, we were left waiting for an apology that never came. At the end the waiter attempted to charge us for the tainted dish, displaying a complete disregard for customer satisfaction and basic decency. This restaurant's utter lack of accountability, poor customer service, and blatant disregard for hygiene are inexcusable. Save yourself the disappointment and avoid this restaurant at all costs.

Pretty good place for beer ruined by impolite staff and service. I went in just for a beer and asked if I could have it in the garden area without needing a table. I was told table is mandatory so I waited and got a table. Had a beer and dessert, the lady serving us was pretty rude from the start. When I was ready to pay, she said that bill was too 'small' and she wouldn't accept a card - this is not mentioned anywhere in the restaurant and no heads-up was given to us. She forced me to pay CZK 200 even though the bill was 166 and said 'it's just 8 Euros so it shouldn't matter to you'. Terrible service and I wouldn't go back here! P.S. I have seen a few reviews talking about racism and I guess this might be another case!

Out of the authentic restaurants to try in Prague. This one here is a must. The ambience when you hear walking in of the bar at your right is just awesome. Now for the food. First things first they take card and euros just incase you didn't exchange them. The fried bread with meat was phenomenal. Additionally the potato pancakes were airy and had that good blend of spices. My favorite is the bread in that buttery, decadent sauce. For the review I gave it a 8.4 out of 10 on that 🔥 scale. I thought for a meat dish I would of gotten a bigger portion. All in all the flavor and atmosphere made up for it. Would give it another try definitely.

We did not have the best welcome. Twenty years ago it would be normal in Czech, but I would assume hospitality would improve. Nobody wanted to help us to a table. When we finally found a table in the really great Beergarten in the back, the waiters were clearly only working on their own tables, so you have to patiently wait for the person who is in charge for your table to order a drink. The prices and the beers were great, the food was ok. The children complaint that their main course was not enough, but we did not see that we had to order the sides and our waiter did not tell us anything. Great for a beer, but go for food somewhere else.

The goulash was good and their potato salad was one of the best ones I ever had. You can tell it was home made, super tasty. Unfortunately our experience was ruined mainly by the service. The server, an older man, was clearly in a mood and wasn’t welcoming at all. We had to get his attention several times to order when people around us who sat after us were served straight away. He was clearly stressed and was running around because they were busy which we appreciate, however I still don’t think that’s an excuse to bang glasses on the table and being rude. A shame because the food was really good and the price fairly reasonable.
