Watch out! Unfortunately, we went to this restaurant without reading any reviews! As a first thing we wanted to have some tap water (of course not good for business for them but we were bloody thirsty), we were told they can't gives us a free water unless we order wine, we do not drink wine, we were thirsty that is all. Eventually, they gave us a free water if we ordered a beer. We have also ordered a tomato soup, waitress asked whether we would like a small or a large one, to which we asked what is the difference and instead of giving us some kind of measurable information she just showed us with her hands, that was not helpful at all, so we just asked for a large one, that cost us £175DKK (same price az a main meal!). We have also ordered 2 main courses - Stjerneskud for 195DKK and Fish Meatballs for 175DKK. They brought all three of them at the same time, which we haven't asked for! So we had to rush to eat everything while it was still warm. FOOD DIDN'T TASTE NICE AT ALL. Soup tasted worse than a tin soup and main meal same as some fast food. Also, we had to wait at least 25 minutes for food to come. So we have paid 634DKK which is approx. £72 or 85€ for this. It was a very bad experience! Please...
Read moreService and furnishing are quite nice. However: the restaurant isn't as clean as you would expect it to be. Considering the prices of food and drinks, I absolutely cannot accept the dirty glasses, overused and dirty tablecloths (made from paper) and disgustingly dirty sink in the restrooms! The portions are teeny-tiny and the food doesn't taste really good (it's eatabel though). We had a veggie-burger, which was most definately not house made (cost: 19€), a salad with literally just 4 beans, 4 peas, 4 dried tomato, a handful (!) of lettuce and half an avocado with so called "vinaigrette" (cost: 20€), fish'n'chips (cost: 17€) and Smørrebrød which was one slice of bread with one slice of salmon (cost: 12€). I think my family and I would have been much happier with hot dogs and fries from the streetfood-shops outside. As other people already suspected, this place really is just a tourist-trap. Waiters and waitresses wait outside to talk to people who stand nearby, so the people go inside. To be fair: the owner probably fights hard to pay the rent in Nyhavn, so he/she lets guests pay way too much for plastic bottles, paper cloths and below...
Read moreI literally just finished eating here and I swear, as a former waiter, I am beyond disgusted with the service and quality of the food. I waited 40 mins for my food, my water arrived after 20 mins. Waiters literally didn't know what they were doing and I kinda feel bad for them cause they looked so stressed. I ordered the fillet and chips and it took a long time so I was expecting for something good but it wasn't. The didn't have any taste, as if it was bought from the supermarket and the fries were just a right amount. I asked for ketchup and mayonnaise cause I eat my fries like this. It took like 5 mins. In the end the bill arrived to 264kr(almost 40$), a small bottled water was 45kr (6$). This is the most horrible experience of my life tbh. It wasn't that busy so clearly I don't understand the wait. Servers should let the customer know if they are extra charge for sauces. And please it's a touristy spot so hire more people cause clearly it's not as cheap as you thought! Thanks for ruining my trip to Denmark! AVOID AT ALL...
