Heering is one of the many restaurant choices along the Hyhavn. They all have umbrellas in the front and seating inside as well. As a tourist, it was a blind pick to try the Heering. Restaurants closer to the metro appear to fill up quicker than those further away, like the Heering, which also gets crowded. Outside dining appears preferred but our inside table (our choice) by the window was perfect for people watching without a crowded and noisy service. The prix fixe menu is a good way to go as you get to try many of the flavors of Copenhagen in an orderly selection and presentation, which has been well thought out by the chef. Each course complimented the other from beginning to end. They have an Aquavit (the spirit of choice of Scandinavia) menu which should be tried. I had the Linie Aquavit, tasting somewhere between vodka and gin. The service is friendly and attentive. You feel like a regular and never ignored. We never felt rushed and enjoyed a well paced service. I cannot say if the Heering is better or worse than the others along the Hyhavn, but having enjoyed a meal there I can only hope that you will have a similar experience if you decide to try...

After walking up and down the entire beautiful strip we chose to eat here. Not particularly craving anything our experience was 5 star! Excellent food. Living in Los Angeles, I wanted to dive in the hearing sampler (did not disappoint if you like fish). Meatballs, and shrimps! Can't recall the proper menu names. I go for the house white wine and my spouse goes for aperal spritz. During the end of dinner we saw this beautiful pale lavender drink delivered next to us so we asked our gentleman server what it was. I thought he pronounced it Lilith (might be Lillet) cocktail. Definitely ask about it! We weren't going for another drink but within a few minutes he brought us a little cup to sample. It was so friendly and beyond to take that time to do that. I wish I could remember his name but he made a funny comment how he was color blind. Maybe one of our nicest servers in our two week holiday tour.
Definitely will be our go to place again when we're on...
Read moreI was originally going to leave 2 or 3 stars, but this changed when 4 people out of 6 had stomach problems, diarrhea and puking. The food wasn’t good to begin with, the fries were refried and uneatable , the tomatoes were old and chewy, the salmon tartare was smelling very strong and unfortunately not one of us was satisfied. the glasses too were dirty and I ended up drinking from the bottle. All the salt and pepper shakers were empty and we had no cutlery on the table and had to ask for it. The location however is great! And the waiter was very pleasant and helpful but the food was not it. We were very tired and hungry after flying in a few hours earlier and this was the first open restaurant in a close proximity to our air bnb that we found on a Sunday afternoon. We all regretted it not too long after. It’s really not worth the...
