What an AMAZING experience. This hotel reminds me of a quaint bed and breakfast as opposed to a commercial cookie-cutter hotel. From the minute we literally arrived to Egypt, the tone was set for our relationship with this hotel. We arranged airport transfer to the hotel through their site, and Mohamed greeted us as we were coming off the escalator before even heading to customs. And he was a lifesaver. One of our bags didn't make it, and if he weren't there to help us figure out next steps, fill out a form, provide hotel contact info, we would have been completely lost! When all the bag drama was done, with one phone call from him, this large bus pulled up as we were stepping outside of the airport. The arrival was made 10000x easier than had we done it on our own. Now, let's start with the hotel location...it can't be beat. You open your curtains and look straight into the Sphinx's eyes and have the view of all 3 pyramids. This is just from your room. If you want an even better view, go up a flight or 2 of stairs to the open rooftop that is so relaxing, well-kept, and spacious to have an undisturbed view of the most famous thing in Egypt. The rooftop never gets crowded and a bonus is you can watch the Sound and Light show from there for free too! As for the area around the hotel, everything you need is within walking distance. There's a KFC, Pizza Hut, mini grocery stores, famous kofta and kabab (Abo Sha'ra) restaurant, souvenirs shop, and pharmacy within a 3 minute walk. Because you're so close to the pyramid, there is always a soldier standing guard 24/7, so it's also safe. As for the inside of the hotel - spotless. Our rooms were cleaned to perfection, the sheets smelled so good, the water pressure in the shower was great, and the room was very spacious. Coming from America, we were shocked by the terrible internet speed in Egypt in general. But this hotel was an oasis for that. The hotel provides fast speed internet that works. The free breakfast served everyday was delicious everyday! It's a full spread that, if you weren't careful, you'd find yourself full until dinner time. They also have 24/7 availability of water/tea/coffee which was very convenient. Lastly, the hosts. I cannot say enough about how amazing the folks running the hotel are. They are SO kind! This is a family run business and it's easy to see that they love their hotel and their customers. They are more than happy to help answer any questions you have about Egypt, give you honest opinions on tourist destinations, organize tourist outings, secure your transportation to anywhere in Egypt, and honestly just be available anytime you need anything. The owners and their staff were just the best we've ever encountered! Thank you SO much for an unforgettable trip!

My wife and I stayed 6 nights here and I (we) have to say, it was beyond belief in all areas of cleanliness, guest services, staff friendliness and location! This is a family run business and as such you are treated like family from the time you arrive to the time you leave. They will quite literally go out of their way to ensure that you have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We chose a room with a view of the Pyramids and were literally stunned when we first entered our room, it was unbelievable, the Pyramids and the Sphinx were right there! The room was nicely decorated and the bed was a dream to sleep in after a long day out exploring, Egyptian cotton sheets, nice puffy pillows, and everything smelled so fresh and clean! We booked our private tour guide through Guardian Guest house as well and we were NOT disappointed, their prices were very competitive, and the guide (Nasser) and driver (Mohammed) were like the dynamic dual. While Mohammed easily handled the Cairo traffic, Nasser would point out interesting things along the way to our destination. We HIGHLY recommend utilizing their tour services as they go hand in hand with each other. Trust us, you won't have to worry about a thing, everything will be taken care of for you! There are so many good things to say about the Guardian Guest House that I could literally write a book about it, suffice to say, if you want to stay in a 5 star hotel far away from where everything is happening, this is not the place for you, but if you want to EXPERIENCE Egypt and the genuinely warm and inviting people of it, then this is your place, your home away from home! Our hats go off to the family who runs the Guardian Guest House, thank you so much for an unforgettable stay!

I have never been so satisfied with a stay before. First off the view from the hotel room and the balcony is the best in Giza. I don’t think any other hotel has the views that this one does. All the rooms are parallel to the pyramids which affords a fantastic view. Other hotels in the area are angled so maybe you can only see it from your balcony or a special room. Secondly the brothers who run it are fantastic and some of the nicest people so met while traveling around Egypt. They helped me with anything I needed and were more than accommodating. Third, they have free water to fill up water bottles which is a nice alternative to having to buy bottles and bottles of water. I mean, if you go in summer, like I did, you’ll still need to buy water bottles when you’re out, but the free water helps. The breakfast is also a nice addition too. Like other reviews say the area around it is not the best, from the minute you walk out of the room you are constantly being bothered, but that’s Egypt. The police presence out front makes it feel a bit safer, but honestly as a man, I didn’t really even feel that comfortable walking around at night. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to come to Egypt and wants a pyramid view room.

I Had a great experience from the very start. As soon as I walked into the Hotel a very nice young gentlemen came running down the stairs and assisted us with carrying our luggage up. He then brought us up to this quaint area and had us seated while he checked us in. There were 2 nice older couple that were sitting at the table and brought us bottled water and asked us to have a seat and welcomed us to their hotel. I have stayed in a lot of different hotels through out the United States including multiple high class hotels in New York City. The customer service the young gentlemen gave us can not be compared to any other hotel I have ever stayed at including any hotel in NYC. I am so used to having the front desk give me a card key and saying “Have a good stay” Meaning You are on your own now. The Gentlemen at the Guardian House personally brought us to our room and showed us how to use the television, use their internet and gave us a tour of our room. Something I am not used to at all. The room was kept up very nice and was very clean. I slept very well that night. The next morning they had a really nice breakfast spread. As I am not a breakfast person.. I was not hungry the nice older lady was kind enough to tell me that I was welcome to take some breakfast with me to eat later. This hotel really cares about their guests. There are a few hotels to choose from. I picked this hotel because it had the view of the Pyramids. If you are looking at different hotels by the Pyramids.. I can not say enough good things about this hotel and people. Thanks so much for giving me a great stay.. I may never see you again, but I will always remember how much you welcomed myself and my Girlfriend that night from the young gentlemen showing us up to our room to the sweet smile of the older lady insisting that I take some breakfast with me incase I get hungry after I leave...
