I had an huge disappointing experience at this restaurant. The main dish was neither freshly prepared nor flavorful—it arrived cold and completely tasteless. When I requested it to be warmed up, they simply microwaved it, which did nothing to improve the quality. Basic condiments like salt and pepper weren’t provided and had to be specifically requested.
For the high price they charge, I expected much better food and service. When I raised my concerns, there was no manager or responsible staff member available—only the waiter. Their response to my complaint was, "I can’t do anything about it," as if they had no accountability for the food they were serving.
Overall, this was a terrible dining experience—overpriced, poor-quality food, and completely indifferent service. I would not recommend this...
Read moreRecently, I had a memorable dining experience at a charming restaurant called Le Pelier des Anges, located in the heart of Strasbourg, France. I visited last November, and even though I was only there once, one dish left a lasting impression. I ordered the classic soupe à l'oignon, or French onion soup, which was beautifully seasoned and topped with perfectly melted cheese. Although it’s a traditional dish, the flavors were unexpectedly sophisticated and light. The restaurant is just a short walk from the iconic Strasbourg Cathedral, in a very pleasant and accessible area. I highly recommend both Strasbourg as a city to explore and Le Pelier des Anges as a dining spot for a truly enjoyable experience. I hope this helps!

Obviously they have cameras in outside seating so the contentions can be clarified. We asked to see manager but was not available. It was almost 11 pm, so didn’t bother argue this further, but I did go ahead and file complaint at the Strasbourg Tourism website.
they can get away with such cheating (towards obvious tourists) in France. In US, I would have been able to challenge this on higher ground simply based on the unprofessional behavior. Please please...
