I used to enjoy their simple pizza dishes until last weekend when I was told (or shall we say shouted at) by a waitress to go away. The reason was that the restaurant was half full and they only had three waitresses/waiters working that weekend. I asked why I could not sit at one of the many available tables and she got short with me and explained that they are too busy and cannot serve any more people. I told her that I find her manner rude and reminded them (by that point another rather bored-looking waitress joined our conversation) of all the generous tips I had left them over the years. I also explained that I would never treat them the way they were treating me. She shrugged her shoulders and went off to do nothing because they had nothing to do apart from sending business away. I found the attitude lazy und unprofessional. By the time she finished arguing with me (which consisted mainly of barking in French at me – ok, I get it, we were in France, but clearly I spoke English and struggled with her shouting) she or one of her two colleagues (by that point all of them standing around listening…) could have easily carried one piece of pizza and a beer all the way (almost 1.5-meter distance!) from the counter to one of the many unoccupied tables. But try a bit of common sense on people like this. What I can guarantee is that it was the last time they have seen any of my hard-earned cash coming close to their pockets. Quite apart form all this, more frequently I am asking myself if it would not better altogether to stop spending money on eating unhealthy and fattening food like this. For this reason, I am quite grateful for the slap in the face. It kind of woke me up a bit and reminded me that I should watch my wallet, my body, and my mind more carefully and avoid places such as this altogether. Looking around in the restaurant I felt that the other guests would have also benefited from a healthier diet and probably a healthier bank account…for Strasbourg, gosh the city was dirty, many sad looking beggars and what appeared to be groups of homeless people. There was a lot of dog poo, weed growing out of walkways and gutters, cigarette butts everywhere and people, visitors and locals alike, looked sad, depressed, almost angry. They are not proud of themselves; they are not proud of their city. It seems nobody loves this place anymore and you can feel it. What it needs is a lot of work and TLC, but this does not seem to be something people there are willing to offer anymore -...
Read moreI faced a problem of receiving different order from which i actually ordered. And when i asked the waiter to replace it, he came back with the owner of the restaurant. It was the worst experience in my life as I felt offended by the racism from the owner of this place when she told me " speak French, you are in france". And after she started to speak English as I obviously couldn't understand her French, she didn't offer help for the problem!
I really don't recommend this place for any expat or visitor in Strasburg.
I am kindly asking the owner again to write in the description of the restaurant that you serve just the french people or the French-speaking people to be more specific!
I am really disappointed to face such a situation in a beautiful city...
Read moreI suspected that it was a crappy place to get a pizza but I didn't have any other choices (Sunday), and now I won't even go there for other kinds of food. they had "pizza of the day" which the staff recommended and since it was late 20:30 and God knows how long those tired pizzas been in the desk so I decided to order from the menu hoping to get fresh ones. Little did I know that they'll still just take those tired pizzas and throw them in the oven and sell it to me. Ps: it's not even pizzas they sell it's pizza slices for 5-6 euro a slice and you need at least to buy 4 slices to come up to an average pizza and for that price you can have a great authentic pizza anywhere...
