My boyfriend and I recently spent our vacation in Strasbourg and decided to have dinner at this restaurant. The location is beautiful, with elegant decor and excellent reviews on Google. Upon entering, we were greeted warmly but were seated at a table in a dark corner, which was also directly in the middle of a walkway, despite many other tables being available.
We were given the menu, and when the waitress came to take our drink orders, we mentioned that we did not speak French. Unfortunately, she was unable to communicate in German or proficient English, which forced us to improvise using a few French words. We also placed our food order at that time. However, during the order process, the waitress suddenly walked away to greet other guests and then ran into the kitchen, leaving us in the middle of placing our order. When she returned, there was no apology or explanation for this behavior. Throughout the interaction, she frequently rolled her eyes at us, which made us feel uncomfortable.
The shared tartare starter was delicious, but when we asked for bread, we received two plates and were unsure if they had misunderstood us. A few minutes later, we had to request bread again.
When our steaks arrived, both were of poor quality and tasted terrible. Throughout the meal, no one checked on us to ask if everything was okay, either during the starter or after we had left our steaks uneaten. Da die Fleischportion etwa 1 kg betragen sollte, schien der große Knochen fehl am Platz, da er das Gesamtgewicht verfälschte. Die kleinen Fleischstücke am Knochen waren vollständig verkohlt und dienten eher als schlechte Dekoration. Die als "Bratkartoffeln", durch Google-Übersetzer bezeichnete Beilage erwies sich leider als gekochte Kartoffel. Die hausgemachten Pommes hingegen waren äußerst köstlich. Unsere Bedienung zeigte sich sehr verärgert über die schlechte Leistung aus der Küche (da sie das Gericht nicht serviert hatte). Wir konnten uns später auf eine Lösung einigen. Es ist durchaus möglich, dass andere Fleischgerichte von besserer Qualität sind. Vielleicht werde ich nochmals zurückkehren und etwas anderes probieren.

I called service lady and she was so friendly and she apologized and invited supervisor. His name was Denis. Especially i wanted to introduce myself and I showed with photos from my restaurant that I know meat very well. He was so rude and insisted that it was ribeye. I requested from him to bring me ribeye and of course I said tgat I would pay. However he tried to make me accept this situation. If it had been in Europe any restaurant or in my restaurant, it would have changed immediately to please the customer.
