The bread is sooooo tasty! I couldn't get enough! I got the sweet potato ice cream with it, which didn't actually add anything extra, just made me feel more cold on a chilly February morning! My recommendation - come early and get the freshly baked plain bread, it's sweet and crunchy and soft inside, smells sooo good! Would go back just for that, don't need the ice-cream. The girl that worked there did recommend the milk and strawberries ice-cream though, if you really want to try it with ice-cream (but honestly, don't, just go the plain).oh, and it's open at 9am! Earlier than everything else...

Second time coming back this shop within last 3 days. Highly recommend to try. It's slightly sweet and fluffy. The top cookie crust is very thin and breaks apart easily once bite into it, followed by fluffy and a bit mochi like bun center. Come before maybe 3pm to get the warm bun. It's much much nicer than cooled one. But their melon bread with ice cream center is really good too. (came during sakura season so I got the sakura flavoured ice cream melon pan~...

AMAZING desserts near Sensoji!! Kagetsudo is known for their melon pan, and for good reason--the slightly sweet buns are light and airy on the inside and crispy and caramelized on the outside. It's even more amazing when you get it filled with some of their soft serve ice cream, so there's a nice contrast between the warm bread and the cold treat!
