One of the best Japanese restaurant in kk located in hyatt regency hotel at the heart of the city center. Quality of the food is consistent due to the careful selection of ingredient purchase. Great service from the friendly staffs and there might be short of staffs in times of full-house. I highly recommend their moriawase sashimi which consists of 5 or more different types of sashimi. Kindly check with the staffs the variety of sashimi available for the day prior to ordering to avoid disappointment. For rolled sushi, my favourite would be the Nagisamaki, combination of eel and avocado, but sometimes they might use mango as substitute. Hotpot comes with 2 types, either beef or cod fish (gindara nabe). Beef hotpot portion is bigger and comes with soba as well, which can be shared by 2 person. Gindara nabe is just nice for one, clear soup with two big pieces of cod fish, shitake mushrooms, tofu, cabbage and spinach. Set lunches are most value for price in the menu. Depending on what type of protein you prefer, my recommendation would be gyu teriyaki (steak style), sake teriyaki, wafu gyuniku (teppanyaki thin slices of beef), unagi set and even the tori teriyaki. Wagyu teppanyaki set is priced at around 240 bucks, where it’s cooked and served right in front of you. Set meal comes with miso soup, salad with sesame sauce(taste just like kewpie), rice (highly recommend they garlic rice), pickle, appetiser and matcha ice cream as dessert. The matcha flavour is strong and just perfect to end the meal. Recommend to apply for social membership if you frequent their restaurant as you can get discount off the bill depending on...
Read moreI wanted to share a minute of my dining experience yesterday evening (21 November, 7pm) . I dined at your Japanese buffet and was extremely disappointed by the service, especially considering your establishment is part of a 5-star hotel. • Slow Service: The sushi plate we ordered took over an hour (69 minutes) to arrive. Similarly, all main dishes were served at least 45 minutes after ordering, which is unacceptable for any restaurant, let alone one of your caliber. • Unattentive Staff: The waitress and waiter seemed disengaged and inattentive. We had to call for assistance multiple times before being acknowledged, which significantly impacted our experience.
Given your reputation, I expected a seamless and enjoyable dining experience, but unfortunately, that was not the case. I hope you address these service issues promptly to ensure a better experience for future patrons. I don’t feel like coming back for your Nagisa Japanese Restaurant again, the experience I had was indeed...
Read moreI recently visited Nagisa Restaurant at Hyatt with a complimentary dining voucher and left feeling disappointed. When I asked the waiter to clarify the voucher details, I was met with an unwelcoming attitude, as if they assumed I couldn’t afford the meal.
The service was average at best. After finishing our meal, the waitress cleared the plates without even informing us that matcha ice cream was included in the set lunch. While I don’t necessarily care about the matcha ice cream—I can get it elsewhere—it’s the dismissive attitude that’s unacceptable.
For the record, I didn’t solely rely on the voucher—I also spent over RM100 on additional meals. Guests shouldn’t be judged for using vouchers or otherwise. While the food was decent, the condescending service ruined the...
