10 out of 10 I do not recommend and here is my reasons why with a brutally honest review (This is a long post. Thanks for reading in advance): Me and my wife chose this location to celebrate our wedding celebration. We set up an appointment, went in and met with the coordinator and her assistant. They were pretty good and for the most part good sales people. We paid over $1k for the deposit which seems pretty standard and customary given the resurant and the reputation of the establishment. One thing I can say they are real big on upselling and I can respect that.So we choose the colors, the decor in which we paid additional money for and we pick out a custom menu with the thought of the prices that we were given to us would be on the custom menu as well for our guest to stay within their own personal budgets but no prices were listed on the menu at all. The server was asking everyone if they wanted to add lobster to their meal as if there was no additional cost associated with it so many of the guest got the impression that everything was all inclusive and who wants to spend their wedding celebration explaining pricing to people? (logically speaking) This is something that should have been explained to the guests by the servers or on the menue. They had no issues putting for the deserts that if your wanted both ice cream and fruit that there would be an additional charge and they could of done the same with the rest of the menu easily. (small details count and matter) We as a newly wed couple chose to sit at the head of the table and the table was so unstable we did not even want to lean on it in fear that the table would fold down and ruin our attire. The service was "meh" at best. My wife, Mother in law and My Brother had to repeatedly ask for water from the servers. We asked one of the servers if they can have the cake cut and the man literally said " I dont think that is in your contract for us to cut the cake" (for what we paid that should of been a easy ask and automatically honored) I get it this is how they make their living but I feel like for the amount of money we paid for the "experience" we should of had dedicated servers that were engaged with providing us a good and memorable experience instead of just making it feel like they couldnt wait for their shift to be over, collect their tip and go home.I do give the manager props because he atleast tried to get the TV working to the best of his ability and although he was unsuccessful how he went about things just made it seem like at minimum he cared and wanted us to have a good experience. Moses was cool but the other server was low-key a damper to the experience. The service was overall slow. There is no way that we should of been there from 6pm to close. They only provide only 3 hours of free parking so every guest had to pay to leave the parking lot. It sort of felt like they were in cahoots with the parking lot and I know that good food takes time to make and make to order but the restuant knew the party size prior to the part even arriving so some preperations should have been made to accomodate in the speediness of the orders. Possibly a sous chef or 2 extra could of helped speed things up in the kitchen. The food was definitely over hyped. I have been to other restuants and the food there automatically made me a customer for life and I actually left them good reviews due to the fact that the food was so good but the food here was not worth the money nor hassle. Let me explain a little more in detail: Lets talk about the appitizers: The first set of appitizers were good. The lamb was probably the best thing they brought out all night. They brought the lamb out and it was gone asap and we ordered more..When we ordered more they made it seem like it was a major ordeal. Then when we got the lamb it was undercooked and bloody. My tomohawk steak was not even 36oz. The kids got larger portions than me..Cake was diabetes sweet. there is more but due to character limit. Long story short this dampered my whole day coming here on my...
Read moreThe good: the sides were great. The patio was lovely, with a nice fan and warmth off of the hot day just lingering enough to make it nice without being over-hot. The wine was delicious.
The bad: everything else. Overpriced for what we received. Seriously do NOT recommend this steakhouse. Read that? Steakhouse. You’d expect at least One of the steaks to be cooked correctly. They weren’t. Details: I ordered a Medium. First one was too rare. Second was overdone. Third was under again and worse than the firsts I finally decided to just take it and eat pieces. Better to have bits and finally go home than tieso letting the chef TRY to get a Medium correctly. It wasn’t Just my steak. My friend ordered med rare. He got blue. BLUE!! That means not in the least warmed. He also saw that half his steak was inedible- too many ligaments etc in part of it so that they couldn’t eat at least half of the steak that we paid nearly $70 for!! NOT REASONSBLE or ACCEPTABLE by ANY means!! Do you agree? There was an actual “well done” at our table, I know- ick. Still, it was charred. Not even close to just well done. Ugh! This is Supposed to be a Steak restaurant!! ALL of the steaks being cooked incorrectly is Unacceptable!!
The Ugly: the manager was Great…, if the manager was our server, I’m sure it would have been great! However, I believe the server’s name was Eric- he was awful! Nice introduction but he usually wasn’t anywhere nearby. The other woman server (supposedly “helping him out”) was more attentive and nice, but why did they never refill my water??!? A basic thing in most restaurants, right?! Eric took forever to bring out even the starters, so much so that my usually quiet dad asked if we were going to get our food any time soon. When HE says something- you Know it’s a significant issue because he rarely if ever asks for food like that. Eric also didn’t refill my water. Something simple yet he couldn’t do well. Ugh!!
We were on time for our 7pm reservation. We didn’t get to leave till almost 10 PM!! I felt seriously disrespected. The servers at my Morton’s in San Diego are sooo much better but after this experience, I don’t even know if I want to go back There!! 😖
The other ”UGLY” part was that the server Eric didn’t remove one of the 3 charges on the bill. The excellent woman manager said I wouldn’t have to pay for the incorrectly cooked steak but I HAD TO CHECK AND THEY ONLY REMOVED 2 of the 3 on the bill!! That caused MORE TIME to wait for them to fix it and just gave a Bad Taste in the mouth, you know!?!! Ick!!
The server could care less about our experience on the patio in Father’s Day & was out only for himself. Just awful experience!!! I don’t wish this horrible service on ANYONE. I wish I hadn’t given him a decent tip because he didn’t deserve it but I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt & didn’t want to ‘hurt’ the other servers if they pool tips. Poor customer service & experience. And, I specifically decided to take him here because I thought he’d have a better experience than another steakhouse. 🤦♀️
And now question if I ever want to go to a Morton’s in Any other location after this. Just so iiicccckkk feeling. I hope if you go, you get better service, or choose elsewhere. Fleming a is a short walk from this...
Read moreCame here for a birthday dinner and was pretty disappointed. We usually go to Fleming’s and it’s amazing but we wanted to try something new. Huge mistake. I’ll start off saying the wine and the hostess were 10/10. As for the service and the steak, our server (Nick) was pretty pushy on trying to upsell very pricey seafood. You would think for a steakhouse they would be upselling the steak. We didn’t like any of the appetizer options and when we told him we were gonna skip appetizers he made a rude/sly comment “dang no appetizers, I guess” like who are you to judge us on if we want appetizers or not.
Then when he took our order, he didn’t write anything down. I ordered a New York medium and my partner ordered a dry age medium rare. When a different server brought us the food, they gave the New York to my partner and the dry age to me. We then tell them that they needed to switch the steaks and the server looked confused. After we switched and the server left, we realized they made the New York medium rare and the dry age medium. We weren’t surprised tho since Nick didn’t write our order down, he obviously put it in wrong. The steak itself tasted like it wasn’t even seasoned. Very bland, tasted like they just cooked it in a bunch of butter and sent it out no seasonings or anything. I was just trying to power through my meal so I could get out of there. It was horrible.
Then the sides. We got the brussel sprouts and the green beans. Absolutely terrible. I have no idea why they tasted the way they did but it was 0/10. I order brussel sprouts anytime I go to these type of restaurants so I know what they taste like. The brussel sprouts literally tasted like canned green beans. I don’t even know how that’s possible but it did. And the green beans tasted old and had hard chewy parts in them. We didn’t eat them at all. The food also took 45 min to come. We had a reservation at 7:30, ordered by 8 and didn’t get the food until around 8:45.
Towards the end of our night, we could tell the server knew we were unhappy, and he seemed annoyed with us. They offered a dessert for my birthday but I was just over it by then. When I declined, Nick made another sly/rude comment “you don’t want the dessert even if it’s on us”. I know this doesn’t sound rude but it was just the way he said it he seemed annoyed at us. I politely said no and that my partner could choose a dessert if he wanted too but he didn’t want it either.
We finished our steaks and took the sides home just to be polite, but that was the absolute worst steak meal I’ve ever had. We threw the sides away when we got back to the hotel. Outbacks steaks are better than what we got served last night.
Overall we deeply regret coming here. I would have just gone to flemings if I knew this was more of a seafood place vs a steakhouse.
Regarding sever Nick, he really needs to learn to be more professional and how to read a room. Not everyone coming there wants to spend hundreds of dollars. To get annoyed with us for not taking any of the upsell offers is so unprofessional. Some people go to steakhouses for a specific steak, not to buy up...
