A locals favorite first off. If you live here in Bloomington you have lots of food options. That do not involve going into "The Mall". But when you do, you know where to go for great food and drinks and hands down Hooters is the best bar in the building! There are lots of awesome spots and i enjoy writing reviews for them too but this is the staple one and only number one... They do say "I go to Hooters for the wings" and they are actually not lying. I recommend getting the traditional Daytona wings to everyone. They are a stand alone wing for a reason! No sauce choices no BS they are a signature wing you can only find here and if your not into knowing what the wings are all about i cant help you any further lol... But if you like trying something that you will find nowhere else and makes a buisness thrive saddle up because these are a nonspicy but perfectly savory wing, deep fried naked (no breading) and then tossed in that signature sauce and then finished on a grill to give it a char and force that suace to turn more into a glaze... if your a wing person you understood all of what i just said and are probably salivating and if your not JUST ORDER A BASKET lol... Beyond that youll find their burgers are fire!!! Thier fries are curled with thier special seasoning (which i might add the serve and you can buy and blow friends and families minds when added to eggs for a brunch)... Now we can talk about the staff. The amazing women there that make an already great food experience turn into a fun and friendly party 🥳 what do you get when you ask a bunch of young confident outgoing women to share the excitement of a sports bar with a ton of TVs playing every major sports network along side a family friendly restaurant atmosphere... you get the sweetest happiest most easy going wait staff you have eser met in your life! I generally meet my wife there cuase she loves this place and considers all these girls her friends and for my part i love the solid daily specials and amazing happy hour deals because im pretty sure she only invites me to pick up the tab lol! And im always happy to Thank you to everyone who works there management, staff, cooks you are killing the competition and thats saying something at a place where there are a dozen competitors within literally walking...
Read moreThe food was ok to good, but for the price,.....and I was very hungry. Staff was Excellent! I PERSONALLY feel that there should be SOME SORT of Security for these young ladies. I was in here June 3rd ruffly around 6-6:30pm or there abouts. A intoxicated man, about in his 40's came in earlier today and was turned away. (I was told this by Alex My sever, She was a wonderful Server) Then he showed up again while I was there. And was basically trying to bullying his way in the restaurant, as he was being told that he HAD to leave. But he was refusing. A Quick thought raised through My thoughts. (What if My daughter was working here with her co-workers???) I got up and walked over telling the low life that He wasn't welcome and that he needed to Leave immediately or he was going to get into trouble. He started to some what walk away calmly. But then he started in again. And Kicked the door, I heard one of the young ladies let out a sort of "Yelp" i thought that she may have been behind the door when he kicked it and was injured... So I ran over and asked if everyone was ok, the low life had walked away. Turns out I think that a gal was just startled by the violent kick he gave the door. As I walked back to My seat, I started to look around at the "CUSTOMER'S" And noticed that there were Quite a few (So-Called MEN) just sitting with STUPID LOOKS ON THEIR STUPID FACES. I looked each one of them in the eye and said "SHAME ON ALL OF YOU!" "LOOK AT HOW MANY GUYS ARE IN HERE AND, N O N E OF YOU GOT UP to Help these gals out!!!!" I proceeded to point My finger at all of them and told them all, SHAME ON ALL OF YOU! I just could Not Believe that not ONE of those SO-CALLED Men lifted a single finger to aide those young ladies... WHAT IF IT WAS ONE OF THEIR DAUGHTERS WORKING ???? at any given time that Low Life could have hurt one or More Of those young ladies...and not ONE of those SPINELESS SO-CALLED MEN did a Dman thing about it! And if your reading this and you were there when this happened, I hope that your Wife/Girlfriend/Sister or female friend that was with you NOW KNOWS HOW MUCH OF A COWARD YOU REALLY ARE! I also hope that she is NEVER in Need of your Help to...
Read moreMy family and I decided to spend our son's birthday at our local Hooter's restaurant on Jan. 5th 2014. I was a little apprehensive about the choice my family made to go to Hooters this particular day, because my past experience of eating at Hooters was not a good one.
In the past year, I watched a episode of "Undercover Boss" where Hooters CEO Coby Brooks was featured on the show and went into some of his restaurants to see first hand what could be improved as well as which things were going good. Watching this episode convinced me that change was coming to the Hooters chain, and last week we decided we'd give it another shot.
My experience was was absolutely terrible, starting with the service that we received. Well after our drinks had been empty for a considerable amount of time, we had to track down our server who had seemed to vanish. Out of the 7 seven people in our group, not one person had one thing good to say about the quality of the food that we had received. I personally had ordered a bowl of chili, as well as a order of boneless Parmesan garlic wings, and a basket of fries.
The chili was bland, the quality of the chicken was terrible, and seemed as if it was sitting under a heat lamp for hours, the fries in which everyone in our party had ordered were cold and soggy, leading me to believe that they had been sitting under a heat lamp for an extended amount of time as well.
I rarely ever complain about dining experiences, and realize that more times than not a person's dining experience can be chalked up as being "hit or miss" in regards to the overall quality, but out of the 7 of us that visited this Hooters restaurant, not 1 person had anything good to say, this leads me to believe that there are some food quality issues, as well as personnel issues taking place at the Hooters Mall of America location in Bloomington MN.
As members of the service industry, I'm sure you are used to receiving frivolous complaints. I would like to once again reiterate on the fact that I am not "that person." I could count the number of times on one hand that I have voiced a complaint about the quality of the food/service I have received...
