Awesome dive bar centrally located in Boston. This place gets five stars because of it's ability to remain a dive bar but also be inviting to anyone whether its a small group or big party. This place is awesome to visit after work or on the weekend for the Pats games. They are also very accommodating for groups or alumni wanting to watch their favorite college team. We went there for our alumni college basketball game watch and not only did they show the game on all the TV's but played the sound as well which is unheard of in Boston with all the local teams around. The bartenders and staff were also extremely friendly.
All that aside, they also have pretty good bar food as well. One of the hidden gems not on the menu are the Sriracha wings. A great change on the normal wings with an amazing flavor. If you can't decide on what appetizer to pick they have a great sampler worth trying and for an entree the steak tips definitely won't disappoint. They also have $8 PBR pitchers and their other beers are competitively priced as well.
For a great small bar that makes you feel right at home, this is the place to go if you are...
ย ย ย Read moreThis is the diviest of dive bars that I've ever visited, and for better or worse, I've been to many. Stopped in here one night because there was no place else to grab a bit to eat on a weekday after 8:30. Sat down at a table for 10 minutes waiting for someone to take an order when I realized that wouldn't be happening so I went to the bar. Waited another 10 minutes for the bartender to notice me. He eventually came over and I ordered a PBR and the turkey club, which by the way was just supermarket turkey roll on toast.
I really enjoyed the cold beer for $3.50 and the school cafeteria meal dinner and Biddy Early's dumpy vibe. Yeah, none of it makes any sense, but this place is unabashedly a dive bar and it works! In fact, while I was eating the place got a rush of around 20 people walking in all at once.
I wont be holding my wedding here, but cant wait...
ย ย ย Read moreI've been passing by this bar for at least 10 years, and never been in it. Thursday evening, calling it a night figure I'll stop by one more pint before decomposing for the rest of the evening.
In ideal irish pub fashion, you get what you expect. If you're looking for a chic modern fufu cocktails, go somewhere else. You got a divey bar with decent beer selections, kind of the local, and late night Corp folks that's looking to unwind. Relaxed chill vibes, until you sit next to someone who's highly opinionated and speaking at plus plus volumes trying to impression the other person. ๐
Anyways, chill vibe, awesome bar tender, expected atmosphere. Not sure if they have pub...
