After nearly six years of living in the Springs and always telling myself I had to check out Jack Quinn's, an unexpected change in Easter plans finally gave me the perfect excuse. My son suggested we go--and I'm so glad we did!
I booked a reservation for three on Easter Sunday at 3:15 pm, seated in the downstairs front. I had no idea what that meant at the time, having never been, but it worked out perfectly. The reservation system was super easy to use, and parking was a breeze--we parked about a block away and enjoyed the downtown murals on our walk to dinner.
The moment you walk in, you're instantly transported to an Irish pub straight out of Dublin. There was a cozy hum of activity, great music playing through the speakers, and we were greeted promptly. We arrived a little early, but the hostess confirmed our reservation and let us know we'd be in one of the front booths--somehow I'd booked an amazing spot without even knowing it.
Once seated, we took in the space. The booth had three surrounding walls, making it feel private and relaxed. The stained glass, rustic wood benches, and warm lighting created one of the coziest dining atmospheres I've experienced. It felt like a place designed for lingering--not just eating. Our server arrived quickly and got us started with drinks and appetizers.
We decided to try two appetizers: the Wimberger's Pretzels with Guinness beer cheese and house mustard--both dipping sauces were absolute hits. Then came the Chips & Dip. I'll be honest, I wasn't excited at first. I've never had a good potato wedge... until now. These were crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside--none of that solid, starchy chunkiness. I especially loved them with the curry dip, another item I wasn't sure about but now can't stop raving over. Total flavor bomb!
Entrees arrived at just the right moment--right as we were wrapping up the appetizers. I had the two-piece fish and chips, and it did not disappoint. The cod was beautifully cooked--glistening white, moist, and flavorful. The batter was crisp without being too crunchy, and the chips (yes, the same ones I had originally doubted) were just as amazing the second time around.
My son ordered the Pub Mac with bacon and polished off the entire bowl--thankfully I got a bite in early. It was rich, creamy, and perfectly cheesy. My mom chose the lamb stew and couldn't stop talking about how tender and flavorful it was. I sampled the soda bread, which had that dense, traditional texture but packed so much flavor. And the honey butter--another thing I'm not usually a fan of--was absolutely delightful. I'd absolutely order it again.
Every single one of us left impressed--not just with the food, but with the service, the vibe, and even the price. In a time when finding quality and affordability in the same place feels rare, Jack Quinn's nailed it.
So, with a little shake-up to our usual Easter plans, we ended up creating a new tradition. Thank you to Jack Quinn's for a delicious meal, a charming atmosphere, and a staff that we haven't stopped talking about. We'll definitely be back--maybe even...

I have never eaten at a pub, so this was a new experience. I came in at the beginning of Happy Hour so I believe that helps with the crowd. Lindsey, my server, was quite helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. I got a medium well Pub Burger with bacon and Pepper Jack cheese on a toasted brioche bun. Burger was not super greasy and the bacon was extra crispy without me having to ask. Skinny fries on the side were like the salty and crispy, good version of McDonald's fries. So good, I just had to take the fries home so I had room for dessert! Root beer was delicious as well. I took a chance with the dessert special and was not disappointed. Lemon cupcake with blueberry preserves and cream cheese icing. The dessert was made in house by a woman that comes in. Bakery quality and not what you would think to find in a pub! I have not tried any of their Irish cuisine, but I would definitely try this place.
*3/6/21 Update: This time I got the Firehouse Burger, just as good as the Pub Burger, this time with the addition of jalapenos and chipotle aioli. No overwhelming spiciness, just there for flavor. The skinny fries are still amazing! I got this as takeout and it was still worth it. The atmosphere when I went to pick up the food is still cozy and not suffocating. I highly encourage everyone to support them. Someone also took a look at the Pickles on my burger and said those were made by the restaurant, not store bought. So...
Read moreHey so it’s actually been a bit since this happened but I wanted to reach out to the Jack Quinn team to give a special shout out to a gentleman whose name I don’t know.
This past St. Patrick’s day, I took my toddlers to your event. The event had some wonderful tap dancers that my kids were mesmerized by, face painting and animal balloons. We had to sit someplace and I had desperately hoped that my girls (5 and 4 years old) were hungry so that I wouldn’t be one of those people who took a table just for a drink. It was St Patrick’s and I felt that doing so would really take pay opportunity away from our waiter. But, sadly, I stupidly mentioned cookies to my girls and they now wanted to leave so all we got was a drink. I was sure to give the waiter a big tip and profoundly apologized for leaving before we ordered anything more than a drink.
That’s the set up. Now for the shoutout. The gentleman in the attached photo went above and beyond with my ladies. He interacted with them, let them know he was a real leprechaun, gave them each a balloon and offered a picture. He didn’t need to do that at all and the girls really loved it.
So from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU, sir! And Jack Quinn? Please give this man more pay and put his exceptional customer service to better use in your restaurant, whatever that may look like. He was the...
