Co-workers raved about this place. So I thought I'd give them a shot and order a cheeseburger for lunch. I ordered online for pick upn which only allowed a max of 4 toppings, each of which cost a nominal amount and didn't actually include the cheese though it was a cheeseburger I had ordered...cheese was .75, lettuce was .25...you get the drift. Ended up costing $8.40. It was ready in exactly the time they said, so kudos on that side of things. Yet, I have to say this was a little pricey for what I actually ended up with (see my pic). I got a whopping 2 pieces of romaine lettuce from the looks, that were not simply wilted but had gross brown/slimey ends. I got all of 2 pickle slices as well. I did get a side pickle spear, but not a snappy dill spear as one would expect, it was also rather limp and wilty. The burger itself tasted...well it was just ok, nothing special and kind of dry. Overall, I am super disappointed. I expected so much better! I love a good burger. This wasn't it by a long shot. Maybe it's better if you go and eat there in person?? I don't know and likely won't as I really don't think I'll be going back.

A friend raved about Danny's so I decided to give take out a shot. I got a New Yorker for just under $16 which was on comically small slices of bread. That being said the corned beef was delicious, nicely trimmed & generously portioned considering the tiny bread size. Not what I consider a traditional rye bread but soft, tasty & enjoyable enough. Unfortunately there was barely any cole slaw which made for a disappointingly dry & too bland sandwich. The matzo ball soup did get an excellent review from my friend although I did not taste it. Am I likely to return? I would theoretically try the food again (with an extra side of cole slaw) but pobably not at that price point.

I wrote before and still not the charm. I crave a good Hot Corned Beef sandwich often and I will drive to Cleveland to get one because this is not it. I am from Cleveland and I know Danny’s Deli. When they opened in Columbus it was with the original family. Since becoming Danny’s Delicious not even close. The meat is too thick and so dry. The bread was like both ends - was I supposed to think my sandwich was bigger. As for the atmosphere- clean your door glass and the glass display. A mop to the entry floor would be welcomed Can’t say that I will try this location again.

I ate a delicious lunch yesterday [12-5-2019] at Danny's Delicious Deli. I have walked past their long red awning many times on my way to Jimmy John's [at 20 S. Front St.] but had never checked them out until Google Maps had suggested recently that I might want to eat there.

Danny's Delicious Deli serves breakfast, 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., and then serves lunch, 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

They have usually already closed by the time that I am getting my "to-go" sandwich at Jimmy John's during the late afternoon and then walking down Front St. towards my once-a-month 5:30 p.m. meeting south of Livingston Ave.

My meal yesterday at Danny's Delicious Deli had been Kosher Hot Dog [All Beef, Quarter Pound, Grilled Hot Dog] served with French Fries. My hot dog had been three times larger than most hot dogs and had been cut down the middle [I presume to help it to cook more quickly]. My serving of French Fries had been large and quite delicious.

The service at Danny's Delicious Deli is definitely very quick and very efficient. I had arrived moments before 12:00 noon; within a few minutes, people had been arriving, two or three at a time, to eat their lunch. I assume that all of those people had been served quickly and efficiently and had eaten a...

I've always liked Danny's. I've been going there for nine years and have never spared expense. Today I went alone for the first time ever and sat at a 4-top table because the tiny 2 tops are crowded and in an area where people who are waiting hover over you and customers are continually passing behind and beside you. Soon my waitress came and asked me if I was dining alone (after calling me "Hon" twice -- I was old enough to be her mother). When I said yes, she said, "I'm sorry, I'm going to have to ask you to move to a smaller table." I couldn't believe it! I said I didn't want to do that and that I would come back another time. I knew as I was walking out that I would never be back. A restaurant with such a discourteous policy doesn't deserve my patronage. Yes, the restaurant might have seated two to three fewer people that day if they had let me stay at the table, but the loss of my business over the next several years is going to cost a lot more that three lunches. That just...
