Today was my first time here. I'm not a huge pizza person, but there was a mother with 3 young kids flying a sign next to the lightrail station on stout and I don't carry cash (honestly I don't like giving cash anyway due to past experiences).
This place was closest to the station and we had only 6 minutes to spare. We hustled in - no line. Awesome. The cookies on the display were so ooey gooey soft. It's hard to find good cookies these days.
I don't know if I mentioned why i wanted the pizza, it seems out of character for me especially since I was in a rush
I did change my order from 5 pieces to 4. They are huge pieces so I figured the younger two kids wouldn't be able to finish one each.
They got my pizza out SO fast - I had resigned myself to missing the train when I realized they didn't have cheese slices ready to go (they were in the oven but not done). I got lucky I'm sure, but I appreciated the urgency.
And they put a 5th slice in a separate box for me for free! Not sure why the separate box, but it was perfect - I was able to run for my train and (gently) throw the bigger box and the sweets to the family as I passed them.
The cookies are the BEST in downtown denver (I got one for my daughter and one for myself as well 😆). The pizza was also very good (I ate the 5th slice) although I'm no connoisseur
I mostly just like businesses that feel like part of the community. For that reason alone I'll be coming back when I'm in...
Read moreOne of the best places to get pizza in downtown if you ask me. You can't beat their price for quality and the size of their largest is legendary. Well, unfortunately they aren't able to capture the magic of true Brooklyn Pizza due to them using Denver water, we are still nonetheless. Just moist enough to be chewy, while still having a good crunch to the crust. Their calzones are extremely underrated if you ask me as well as their Pizza notts. The staff have always been very friendly and quick to correct mistakes (Even if they happen a bit more often than I'd like) I do need to mention due to the nature of my reviews that the interior is exceptionally cramped and even on slow hours on the weekend it can be too much for me. That being said, the pickup process is never taken more than 5 minutes, so I'd recommend ordering your pizza ahead of time so you can still enjoy the beautiful decorations and interesting aesthetic without having to feel claustrophobic. Also, I don't know what sorcery they do to make this establishment so aromatic on the interior, while the exterior is as sterile as an operating room. Also, last I checked they still deliver to the Denver area. So remember to give these guys your service, we don't need doordash and Uber eats muscling in on their...
Read moreI've ordered delivery from here several times in the past with no issue and the pizza is good! Hence the 2 stars but tonight was bad. I called in a order of an XL Grand Central and paid over the phone. My "order" arrived 25 min later but it was a 10" Grand Central. Definitely not what I ordered. I called back and told them that I ordered an XL and received a 10" pizza and would like my correct order. Initially the manager told me he could only refund the pizza, not the delivery fee and then I would pay for the XL but not an additional delivery fee since I already paid it once, sounded great to me. Paid and waited. 1.5 hours later, nothing. I call back and they say that the pizza is cold but the bike just picked it up so I could cancel if I wanted. I cancelled. I am super bummed because we were all hungry and this was 2.5 hours total of waiting now I need to figure something else out. No one seemed too apologetic either. I will be keeping a close eye on my statement to make sure I wasn't charged for any of this because it didn't seem like management had a good handle of how to even handle this. It seems they changed how they deliver because this was never an...
