One of my harder reviews to write, first the waitress we had who was also covering the bar was excellent. You need to know they added “surcharges” to the bill that I didn’t see until after we left that are not disclosed, mentioned or pointed out when they give you the bill. We had the deep dish pizza meat version. The menu says they don’t let you make changes if we read it right (no substitutions it said so we didn’t try. It also not sure if we really had any better ideas based on what toppings they had). The deep dish pizza was very average and didn’t rise to a 4 star in anyway. The pizza sauce was uninspired in every way. The crust was not something any pizza lover could enjoy. The pizza overall was editable but was only a deep dish in theme not practice. Very thin layers of meat, maybe that’s the style in Denver but certainly not the style in any other deep dish place I have been to. I really wanted to be more inspired about the food itself, but just can’t because that crust and pizza sauce ruins it. I could forgive the sparse toppings, but not if you can get these other two things right. Additional issue was a foul sewer smell which lingered our whole meal time. It might just be a temp condition as they are doing some road work (picture included but there is no real indication of replaced sewer or open sewer. The patio as a result would be a difficult decision. Not sure one should blame that on them but the fact is it’s there needed to be pointed out and hopefully it’s only temp as I didn’t see any other reviews mention it. If this place fixed that pizza sauce at least it would make a material difference. One can live without perfect crust but the sauce really does need to be excellent. It’s all workable issues and I wish them the best if the decide then want to try something. And who knows, maybe tonight’s pizza sauce was because they ran out and west to the Safeway and made a...
Read moreThis location made a fraudulent charge on my card for an amount exceeding $1000 dollars. My bank flagged the charge as suspicious and notified me while I was still in the restaurant. I asked to speak to the manager about the charge, and was immediately met with hostility. When trying to show him the report from my bank, he immediately denied that it was possible, and attempted to lecture me about accusing his employees of running a fraudulent transaction. He attempted to deny that it even came from his restaurant, however I showed him the report listing his location as the source. When that attempt didn't work, he accused my party of being drunk and belligerent in an attempt to discredit the whole situation.
After that, he went into the back and looked through the system and found the record of the fraudulent transaction being made, along with a crumpled receipt printed with the charge on it. He then changed his attitude and attempted to reconcile the situation by sending us screenshots of the charge history in the computer system. The charge was clearly processed, cancelled, and documented.
I recognize that it is possible to make a mistake when entering in a check, but the number entered wasn't even close to reasonable. It was a $71.98 bill(with a $10 tip to bring the total to $81.98), and I was charged $1068.13. This wild amount makes it difficult to believe it was simply an accident. Furthermore, the Manager's attempt to completely deny it even happened, gaslight my party for bringing it to his attention, and accuse us of being too drunk to be thinking clearly was completely inexcusable. I cannot possibly imagine having a worse experience with...
Read moreTerrible experience here. I’ve been craving this for a while & I was so excited to finally satisfy that craving. Me and my friends made a reservation expecting it to be busier. When we arrived it was not very busy at all, but we were seated in the bar area at a high top table. No problem. The problem was the rude bartender/server or whatever she is! The way she treated us was absolutely unacceptable. She literally came up to our table to take our order with her arms folded, it’s not hard to read body language. She was not friendly AT ALL, it was very clear she was not interested in serving us. More people began to arrive at the restaurant. We spoke to her a total of 2 times. The first time she let us know how long the deep dish takes & if we wanted to wait to order. We said yes. The second time she came back arms folded, to take our order. That was the last time she acknowledged us. We sat for a good 30 mins. I intended to order an appetizer and more drinks. However we were never acknowledged again, yet the other tables that were seated after us were constantly being checked on. She made it a point to service them & continue to ignore our table. It was extremely rude & unacceptable. The only thing we had received was two sodas. I told my friends I wanted to leave because I was no longer interested in spending ANY MONEY at this establishment. So we got up and left. We walked right past the server and she didn’t say a word. PATHETIC. I was extremely disappointed in this experience & I will be sure to never return...
