This has to be one of the worse Wendy's, if not the worse Wendy's I've ever dined at. Unfortunately it's the closest fast food restaurant I have to go to and the closest Wendy's to me. Wendy's happens to be my favorite fast food restaurant and being from Ohio I'm proud to say we were both born there, well for most Wendy's anyways. This Wendy's is an embarrassment and disgrace to Dave's wonderful daughter's name, Wendy Thomas, and I do believe Dave would feel embarrassed and ashamed to have a restaurant running in such a manner as this one on Colfax Ave, Denver, CO. I feel bad for the general manager, Bridgette, for she tries her hardest, she's very sweet and knows how to treat the customers with above average hospitality along with exceptional speedy service making for a wonderful welcoming and delightful experience that makes you want to come back for your next meal and become a regular face at this place until you encounter any employee there who is unfortunately throwing the Wendy's name in the dirt and making all the hard work performed by their boss, Bridgette, a waste of time. The employees, mainly the young ones are disrespectful, ignorant, offensive and to put it lightly a hellish group of heathens who force me to inspect every inch of my food before eating it due to the suspicious activity that takes place behind the counters. I was here the other day overheard one of the employees ask a customer if they would like to use the restroom before they close the so I went to seize the last opportunity of the night to use the restroom their and the little boy behind the refused to let me, a daily paying loyal customer, use the restroom and yelled in an obnoxious and snobby voice, loud enough so everyone could here that he was refusing to let me use the restroom so I couldnt go do illegal drugs in them in an attempt to embarrass me make me feel less for he just offered someone else the chance and was basically stating I wasn't allowed due to an assumption made by an undereducated mind that ignorantly made up an offensive scene, out of boredom and lack of Imaginative self entertainment', and spread a fictional story amongst fellow employees mainly because of his own personal problems with self worth, in an attempt to spread a negative self image he has for himself in hopes that if successful would make him either look better or feel better about himself because misery does love company. I believe this restaurants staff should be wiped out except for Bridgette and restarted for the sake of Wendy's and for the sake of the wonderful soul of Dave Thomas him self. Because I now can't go enjoy Wendy's food anymore unless I travel way out of my way which will not be happening due to working 2 jobs, college and having my 5 year old daughter to take care of and with all that on my plate doesn't leave me much extra money nor time and I wish I could spend the little I do have at Wendy's like I have for years but unfortunately won't be able to due to a couple undereducated, selfish, ignorant, offensive, snobby, miserable, immature and just straight disrespectful young adults who have no right to be working at a fast food restaurant...Pathetic as it gets and I apologise for venting but it's just that bad and is consistently horrible time after...
Read moreTerribly rude service. I placed an order using the mobile app. I had just funded my Wendy’s account so paid for my order using that and scheduled my pick up for 7:55. I walked there 1 mile away and arrived at 7:52. An employee was taking a break at the open door to the lobby but he refused to let me in to pick up my prepaid order. I explained I was picking up a mobile app and he said “walk to the drive thru, lobby closed early!” Walk through the drive thru? Don’t most fast food restaurants bring food out to customers and forbid them from walking in the drive thru? So I walk to the window while a car was placing an order at the speaker. A man came to the window and I said “I scheduled a prepaid order but this guy won’t let me in. Told me to walk to the drive thru.” At this point I expect an apology as I’m now standing in front of a running car waiting to get their food. The guy said he closed the lobby early. I said “I want a manager, you knew I was coming, how come this employee is making me stand in traffic at the drive thru?” The guy said he was the manager, he can close whenever he wants and refuse service to anyone he wants. He then told me to leave,he was not giving me my food which was right next to his hand. I refused to leave the window without my food so he said he was calling the police. A cop was outside the restaurant so the manger brought him to the window where I had stepped out of traffic but still standing. I explained I want my food I paid for right next to the window. The cop told him to give me my food. It was now 8:01. The manager went inside and took a long time. He Said he had to make new food because mine was cold. I told the cop I do not trust new food from this lunatic and I want the bag prepared before I got there. The cop agreed I should not eat the new food and asked the manager to give me my original order. The manager said he threw it away, which was a lie. So I get new food which I had to throw away. I called Wendy’s customer service and asked for a refund of the balance on my account and for the meal I had to throw away. They referred the matter to the store where this lunatic had made the police force him to give me my food. I got an email from someone identifying himself as the manager. The same maniac manager that had to be told by the police to give me my food???. I do not want the lunatic manager to have my address and was very uncomfortable so now I’m out $25 as the company will not refund my mobile app balance or my food purchase. I have a picture of the smug manager at the window proudly standing next to my food which he refused to give me after forcing me to walk through the drive thru to ask for. This was taken right before...
Read moreI ordered a pick up order through the Wendy's app which stated that they were open, when I arrived on foot the dining room was locked and all the chairs were still on all the tables and it seemed to be nobody there. I walked around the back and a male employee said "they weren't open yet". I asked him what I should do about the order I have placed and been charged for, so he said "idk try the drive thru". So I walked up to the DT window and I saw a female employee so I waved as to get her attention only to be ignored for about 3 minutes until a vehicle pulled up to the speaker to order, they finished ordering and now this vehicle is running behind me making me feel unsafe all while I'm standing there looking at what I presume to be my order bagged up and sitting on the counter dying. Finally another different female employee approaches the window (seems to be the manager on duty) and asks me what I'm doing in the window and I tell her about my pick up order and question why the inside is still locked when the app says it's open and she got all flustered and started making excuses about why the dining area was closed and that she has nothing to do with what the app says, blah, blah, blah all with extreme attitude. Her main excuse was "this is what happens when employees call out! " I saw 3 of you in there, how hard is it to open a Wendy's? I used to open Burger King alone when I was 19 years old and didn't have anyone else come in til an hour later. Just saying. Sounds like a lazy manager to me. So now I'm walking around with my food that is now old, cold and of poor quality and I have to figure out a place to eat before the food gets older and colder. Luckily I spotted the outdoor seating area for "Good times Burgers" across the street and they allowed me to eat my Wendy's food there. Imagine that, a place I didn't even order from trying to accommodate my needs better than the place I spent my hard earned money at. Crazy, huh? Anyways..., the GM Luis sent me an email saying he wanted to discuss my visit because I requested a refund for such a horrendous experience, it's been 3 days and I haven't heard anything from him nor have I...
