Our normal place is closed on Monday which was news to us so we ordered our exact same order from Li's. I have never been to this establishment but figured we would give it a chance.
I ordered our dinner in person for take out and the staff were very friendly. I was informed it would be about 15 minutes which is reasonable.
Right before they brought the box of food out a kitchen staff member went to the buffet and basically filled up containers with our food to include, white rice, soup, and lo mein. He went back to the kitchen and a minute later the cashier brought out our food.
I asked the one employee if they just filled our order from the buffet to which he replied "yes." I informed him that I came in to order fresh food for take out and not from the buffet. He just kind of stood there with no response.
I paid for my food and left. Upon arriving home the reviews came in fast from family members. The white rice was well, white rice. Can't mess that up too badly. The orange chicken was not good at all. The quality of meat is suspect at best when we actually found a piece of meat. Mostly it was just deep fried, hard chicken something.
My lo mein was mushy; both the noodles and shrimp. It was quickly discarded. The pork fried rice was truly awful.
One saving grace would be the egg drop soup which was not bad. Still not happy they pulled it from the buffet line.
Mondays in the future we will not be having Chinese for dinner. Unless of course it is leftovers...
Read moreMy husband and I were there for the first time on Wednesday night. We should have just turned around and walked out but we didn’t. The food was old, reheated. It was disgusting. Chicken wings were yellow on the inside, rib meat was hard and black, rice was not fried rice. It was a bright yellow with peas in it, the LoMein was enlarged from being reheated. The shrimp was a total turn off. It had been marinated in butter, with the shell still on it, mushy from being reheated and the it had a horrible fishy smell. The crab ragoon was hard, their egg rolls were hard too. There wasn’t anything on their steam table that was actually fresh or edible. Desserts looked great but were not good at all. The little cake slices were dried out, too old. The green jello squares had a chemical taste to them. I tried just about everything and took one bite and left it. Their waitress was taking almost a full plate each time. My husband did the same. What we paid was definitely not worth the price. When we walked in and saw there was only one other couple there should have told us something. We will never set foot in there again. The health department really needs to...
Read moreI don't know where to start, so I guess I will start at the beginning. So my parents and I wanted a place to eat and this place was right around the corner from the AirBNB we were staying, reviews said it was decent so I thought I would check it out. Place is a bit overpriced. 50 bucks for 3 adults. Not bad for a good buffet but the food was very generic and all tasted pretty bland. But that wasn't my biggest problem. After finishing our meals, the cashier (she wasn't a server because all she did was bring us to our table and bring us some pop - once) brings us our bill. So I pay with credit card and don't leave a tip on the receipt. To be honest I wasn't sure if I was going to leave a cash tip, in all honestly I probably wasn't going to but that's beside the point. As we are leaving the cashier looks at the bill and walks up to me asking why there was "no tip?" and getting quite agitated. So we leave her five bucks and call it a day. But at the end of the day, if you want bland overpriced food, drab interior, and bad service this is the place to visit, you won't...
