Lulu's Finest Ice Cream — Restaurant in Gettysburg

Recently, I made a visit to this fine establishment and let me tell you this: it was truly an experience. Allow me to set the scene. It was a Friday evening, the time of day when you have a lurking desire for something sweet. I was accompanied by my pal Sam and his best friend Josh. I sensed they too had the unspoken yearning for ice cream, so I let out a subtle suggestion that we venture to Lulu's. It would be an understatement to say the proposal was met with ecstatic enthusiasm. Sam's face, in particular, brightened with a gleaming smile. So, we departed in eager excitement. Upon our arrival to the shop, we were met with the most pleasant aromas, as well as greetings from the (rather handsome) employees. The process of flavor selection proved an arduous task, seeing as there were so (so) many enticing flavors. This, of course, was expedited with the gracious support of the employee serving me who recommended the spicy chocolate. Unique ice cream shop with homemade artisan flavors. Love to stroll around after eating at one of the many restaurants near the square, to then have our desert in a cone... this is our new go-to spot for frosty treats in Gburg. Friendly staff & yummy ice cream. Free samples too. I'll keep my eye out for their green tea flavor-- it's not currently on the menu but it's been there before & it's hard to find elsewhere. So good!

It's right off the square, a building or two over from Blue & Gray Bar & Grill. Gross. Freezer burned, freezers need cleaned, display needed to be wiped down, glass was dirty, floor was dirty, several of the ice creams were melted/refrozen. The tags that labeled the ice cream flavors had frost over them and were illegible. Staff unfriendly, unhelpful, quiet and acted as though we were disturbing their empty quiet parlor just for stopping by. Serving size was incredibly small for the $5.50 price tag for a small, no regular cones, only $2 waffle cones that came as an additional charge.
