Fluffy Fluffy GO! — Restaurant in Jersey City

Didn't realize that Fluffy fluffy go sells sandwiches, rice bowls on top of pancakes. We ordered Tamago egg rice bowl, chicken cutlet sandwich, wings, pancakes, cheesecake and strawberry lemonade.

The Tamago egg rice bowl was very filling. It had a mixture of different flavors that blended well with the fluffiness of the egg. The sauce was spot on. Nothing was too salty or sweet because I don't like salty food. The only thing I would say the food could be just a little hotter, temperature hot.

The chicken cutlet sandwich was delicious, the bread was toasted and had just enough veggies. I could hear myself crunching into the sandwich. It was so good. Had good sauce (not too salty) and crispy chicken.

We also shared the spicy mango wings. These were hot, just the right temperature and had a bit of a kick that brought out the taste of the mango and spice. Great side dish to add.

Pancakes yes. Too good to pass up. We had the dubai chocolate and it was basically melting in the mouth. They were hot and had rich chocolate flavors. I just love pistachio and each bite I had pistachios.

We took home the cheesecake and put on the fridge to eat later. When we ate it it still tasted fresh. This is the best cheesecake ever!! Forget cheesecake factory, this is my go to cheesecake place.

Final thing in our order we shared a strawberry lemonade. It wasn't too sweet or sour. It had real strawberry puree in it, no fake ingredients.

Service was fast considering out big order. It took about 10 minutes to make. The guy behind the counter was extremely friendly and helpful in helping decide on what to eat.

Located in the upper level food court of the Newport Centre Mall is a Japanese style café.

Owner Joseph introduced me to four of the most popular menu items.

Thai Iced Tea: This breakfast drink has an orange appearance and it is freshly brewed in Thai leaves for 30 minutes; it’s quite refreshing.

Tiramisu Souffle Pancake: If you like coffee, then you are going to love this.

The light, fluffy souffle pancake is topped with a layer of tiramisu cream made with mascarpone cheese. It also has rich chocolate sauce, cocoa powder, and berries. The berries made it taste “berrylicious.”

Fluffy Signature Souffle Pancake: And this style pancake is the cream OF the cream of the crop!

The fluffy signature is made with fresh cream and topped with the perfect patriotic blend of strawberry, banana, and blue berry.

It’s a neat coincidence how the colors of the cream and fruits are identical to the colors of the American flag.

Chicken Cutlet Sando: This chicken cutlet sandwich is served with spicy yuzu aioli and coleslaw on japanese milk bread.

The only critique with the sando is there wasn’t enough aioli. Luckily, an extra sauce cup was provided and I was able to easily rectify the issue.

And the aioli also makes a great dipping sauce for the steak fries.

As a bonus, discounts are available on selected items on weekdays.

Now that I explored this restaurant, I can easily see what all the “fluff” is about.

Right inside Newport Mall, past the rush and retail, sits a warm little window to Japan — one pancake at a time.

📍Fluffy Fluffy began in Toronto in 2018, inspired by the famous soufflé pancakes of Harajuku. The brand brings the slow, cloudlike sweetness of Japanese café culture to North America — and now, to Jersey City. And they do it right.

I started with the Chicken Katsu Rice Bowl — crispy, tender, comforting. The rice was fluffy, the sauce was just enough, and the pickled onion brought it all together.

Then came the joy: 🥞 Strawberry Pancakes. Soft. Creamy. Vanilla-scented. Each bite felt intentional — not overly sweet, not too dense — just forkfully perfect. These are the kind of pancakes that make you pause mid-bite. Like… “this is more than breakfast.”
