I would rate as a 3.5, but I’m rounding down because of the overall average score. I’m also dropping a point because of the gratuity situation I detail below. I’ll modify it back upward if there’s some clarity. We sat on the front patio during lunch service. The good came out fairly quickly. We had a salad and some wraps. Ordering the chicken “blackened” is the right move. Pricing was reasonable for lunch and drinks. Even though only 3 of us were seated, the bill included an automatic “large group gratuity” of 20%. I’m guessing it’s just added to every patio service, but I think it should be clearly stated on the menus. I normally tip 25-30% so I don’t care about the amount, but I almost tipped 25% on top of the 20% gratuity. I feel like it was intentionally misleading on the part of the restaurant. I also hope that the 20% is actually a gratuity and not a service charge absorbed by the business. I understand wanting to protect the servers especially with the extra distance for serving outside…but I have questions….

We came here on a Sunday night. Sat down at an empty table outside. The table clearly wasn’t cleaned. We sat down hoping someone would come clean it. But no one came to clean it. Wiped it down with paper towels ourselves cuz we didn’t want our kids to pick up anything and put into their mouths. Came here for the cheese curds, they ran out. We ordered wings and a loaded brat. Took over 45 minutes for the food to come out. Check came out to be over $50 for wings, a loaded brat, and a drink. There was a 20% large table surcharge. It was just me, my husband and my two kids who aren’t even two yet. When asked the waitress about it, she just said it’s automatically added on for this weekend. In addition, there’s a $1.49 surcharge for paying with credit card. The overall experience was just not pleasing. We were visiting from out of town and came here on recommendations from the locals. Left very disappointed with the food and the service. Won’t come back again!

Probably better places around. Service was extremely slow and our waitress would disappear for 10 to 15 minutes at a time. Food looks good in pictures but really isn't that tasty. Most of the items are pretty bland but that could just be a Midwest thing. Outside Street dining area is right next to the traffic so it's fairly unpleasant. Positives were the bathroom was clean and if you're coming by to drink, order the cheese curds or a pretzel as those were both really good. We spent about $25 a person on just food, no booze, so it's overpriced for what you get.

Not one to leave a bad review as a business owner myself. Although this felt warranted. And is mostly about one employee (male, long hair). Three of us came here around 3-4pm on July 4th. We stood around and then sat ourselves down. No one helped us, so after 10 minutes of chatting/waiting we went and ordered at the bar and sat back down, totally fine.

Beers come out 10 mins later, mind you it was not too busy. Which is fine still. One of the glasses was visibly dirty. So we asked the male employee with longhair who was taking shots at the bar, politely if we could have another glass. He proceeded to take the glass, raise it up, rub his finger down the glass, and asked us “Have you ever heard of condensation?” In a the most condescending way I’ve ever heard. We were shocked. He then noticed the dirty glass and agreed it was dirty leaving immediately. Then he was never to be seen. Didn’t bring us a clean glass or beer. We couldn’t understand what the deal was.

We then asked a female server who gladly brought us another beer (thank you, the reason for 2 stars). I’m a local and we just wanted to grab a beer, but I’ve never had this type of attitude and service at a bar in Milwaukee. I’m not his supervisor, but if you are taking shots behind the bar, please at least handle your booze so you’re not rude to patrons of...

Was honestly pretty disappointed all around, unfortunately. Our server was very rude and we were nothing but respectful to him. He seemed like he was in a total rush the whole time. We tried their wings and a burger and it was very overpriced for the quality we received. While we were eating our wings, he already closed our tab (which was fine because we were technically not going to order anything anymore), but he wanted me to pay right away while I was eating. I clicked "no receipt" by accident and then I apologized and asked him if I could actually get a receipt. I asked because we had a coupon for a free drink that we gave him at the beginning and the tab just seemed very overpriced. When I asked for a receipt, he made it seem like it was a huge inconvenience. After he slammed the receipt on our table, I thanked him and he just walked away without saying anything else. We were, in fact, charged for the second drink, but we just left because I did not want to inconvenience him even more. He did mention that it was his first day, which is why we were being so patient and understanding with his behavior, but whether you are new or not, there is no excuse to act that way. I'm throwing my second drink coupon away because I am NOT going...

My group of friends and I visited Who’s on Third on Saturday, May 5th. Unfortunately, our experience was less than stellar, which led me to submit a lower-star review on Sunday morning.

However, within about an hour the General Manager, Chris Norton, had reached out to me to talk to me about our experience. This eventually led to a phone call with both him and owner Bobby Wiltgen on Tuesday evening. During our conversation, they assured me that our experiences were the exception to the rule (which makes sense based on the high reviews they had already received), and how they were going to avoid having our issues come up with other guests. It was very apparent during our conversation that these are two people who feel passionately about Who’s on Third and making it the best customer experience possible.

I have updated my review to reflect the outstanding customer service that I received from Chris and Bobby. Very rarely do you ever hear from a company when you leave a low-star review, let alone receive messages and a phone call to discuss your experience. I very much look forward to returning to Who’s on Third to receive the same world-class customer service that I had received via phone with...
