FAMILIES BEWARE EATING HERE
Pic attached was half our family meal purchased. Overall the chicken was fine, I think the Comeback sauce is a watered down version of Canes sauce but the chicken was not my gripe and nor will it save this place from getting 1 star from me
I ordered via the app to my hotel. We didn’t get any of our drinks, we called the store but to no avail. Fortunately at our hotel we had plenty to choose from. The next ding was attention to detail. We ordered multiple side orders of Ranch sauce and got a grand total of zero. We did get our comeback sauce but since all 5 of us wasn’t a huge fan of its lack of flavor - at least the kids would have been happy with ranch.
Saving the best for last but probably should have been first based on the title. Whoever was working our order last night was playing a joke possibly but should be fired. We ordered 3 kids meals and of course the first thing kids go for are the pickles - well on two of our orders on the middle pickle stack hidden was a ton of spice. I thought my two younger kids were going to have a heart attack for a minute but fortunately we realized the culprit fast enough where they didn’t dive into it more. Then on the kids meal that didn’t have the heat pickles one of the tenders got spice on the bottom of the chicken not visible from the top. This was pretty messed up and my oldest ate it like a trooper but I think it’s important for families to know that ordering from this place that you may not have fantastic or ethically trained workers at this location. As you can see by my picture I bought 1 of the hottest chickens and it’s coated black - it was pretty darn hot! No joke. But if I’m ordering kids meals, there needs to be better judgment from the cooks and higher standards...
Read morePretty good chicken. I had the food delivered as I was too tired to go out. I ordered a variety of items to try each one. First, the chicken is just as I hoped: big, juicy tenders that are delicious. I got three tenders hot and one damn hot. The hot is the perfect spice. It isn’t too overbearing but it has a good kick and good flavor. The damn hot is quite overbearing and was pretty much burning my mouth up. I love spice. I eat jalapeños raw and hot sauce often. But this was pretty hot. I couldn’t even imagine the hottest level. I actually have a headache from how spicy it was. Next, the Mac and cheese is pretty good. I’d certainly get it again. Pretty great flavor and a good creamy texture. I would like if the noodles weren’t cooked quite long so they weren’t so mushy personally. Next, the bacon grits were good. They had a good flavor and texture. Next, the red skin potato salad wasn’t that great to me. I like the idea, but it had a sort of sour/bitter flavor that I didn’t enjoy. Next, the waffles. If they are like this normally, I wouldn’t bother. They were very hard, to the point that my plastic fork wouldn’t penetrate them. They crunched to bits when you bit into them. Not sure if they were just old or if they are usually like that, but I wouldn’t bother. They would probably be good if they were soft. Last, the banana pudding. It was just okay. It tasted like there was more of a meringue in it. I’m glad it was free or I wouldn’t have been too happy about paying that much for it. Overall, it was some good food that I was looking for during my stay in Nashville. The chicken was phenomenal, which is what I wanted. If you can’t handle spice, definitely stay below hot or you will regret it. Even if you can handle spice, don’t...
Read moreI cover Food, beer, music and service! Mac n cheese was creamy, potato salad was good with a hint of smoked bacon flavor and great as a palate tammer if you get Damn Hot. I got grilled tenders w/Damon Hot and the tenders were huge, juicy and layered with seasoning. A little too much for me. I suggest order easy on the seasoning if you get Damn Hot or Shut the Cluck Up. Husband ordered Hot fried sandwich and he said it was really good and seasoning was on point. Crinkle fries were good not over done. He also added a fried wing Hot and he said it was also very good but alot spicier then his fried sandwich, we are thinking the bun on the sandwich helps maintain the spice where the wing is just straight spice. All of our chicken came with 2 small slices of Dill Pickle. I would ask for extra next time as they went really well with the Damn Hot spice level. I have a higher tolerance for peppers and I had to scrap off some of the Damn Hot seasoning half way through from my grilled tenders(extra 20min wait when you order grilled). The wait at 11:15a on a Saturday was not too bad,we only waited 30min to get to the counter to order. Beer on tap-great selection. I had the Maple Brown Ale(dont let the name full you,not sweet at all-nice smooth ale)and husband had Bearded Iris-hazy IPA(notes of citrus) and Drinking Buddy -Golden Ale(light and not too hoppy). All 3 beers were good. AND... the music choice. for me being in my 40's -I loved it. Good mix of late 90s hip hop to early/mid 2000s. Service- encountered 4 staff memebers, everyone was very nice, patient, and helpful-5 stars for them alone. Place was clean with some outside eating and only 2 unisex bathrooms so there was a bit of a line at times. We will return when we are back...
