Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing dining experiences Iâve had in Nashville. A small group of us came in after spending time at the pool, just looking to enjoy a few drinks and appetizers in a relaxed setting. The restaurant was completely empty when we arrived, which in hindsight should have been a red flag.
Our server, Damien, started off engaging with us but quickly shifted in tone. One of my friends, who was admittedly a bit lively but by no means inappropriate, was asked where she was from, and when she answered, his response was, âRemind me to never go there.â It came off as unnecessarily rude and unprovoked.
What made things especially uncomfortable was when Damien insisted she was intoxicated, not based on behavior like slurred speech or imbalance, but purely on the nature of our conversation. I explained she was completely sober and simply has a big personality, but he doubled down on his assessment, which felt incredibly judgmental and out of line. If he genuinely thought she was intoxicated based on the volume of her voice or context of our conversation, there was a much better way to handle it. A simple, respectful note like, âHey, just a heads-up, the energy is reading a bit strong, and it might raise concerns,â wouldâve gone a long way. We wouldâve gladly adjusted and continued enjoying ourselves without issue. We didn't find it to be an issue as he and the other young kid working were laughing with us when we arrived.
When I mentioned that the situation had become awkward and we would be leaving, he responded with, âYou can go ahead and do that,â which really confirmed the lack of customer care.
This experience left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. I wonât be returning, and unfortunately, I canât recommend this place to others. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as itâs never pleasant to feel judged or dismissed when simply trying to...
Read moreItâs incredible this business is even functioning in a high traffic area, surrounded by hotels. The majority of options on the menu are cooked in a deep fryer. Somehow, it took almost 2 hours to get our food between 4 people. Once the food arrived, it was below mediocre. The chicken was dry, the cheeseburger was even dryer.
At the beginning of our visit, we informed the waiter we would need separate checks due to reimbursement through our company. He agreed and made it seem like no problem. Four more guests arrived while we waited for our 2 hour meal.
Once it was time for the check, it was suddenly an issue to give us 8 separate checks. The manager came out and insisted we only split the check 3 ways between 8 guests. We asked if they could split our checks as if we were two separate tables of 4. Considering the next 4 of our guests didnât arrive until over an hour while we waited for our food.
They finally allowed us to split the check 8 ways. Checks were wrong, but we paid and tried to get out of there as fast as possible. Do not recommend and will not...
Read moreWas pretty quiet on a Thursday evening. They had sports on all the TVs over the bar. Brent Miller was fantastic for the live music! A nice change of pace from the hustle of Broadway a couple of blocks away.
We ordered the wings and the loaded tachos (basically, nachos, except with tater-tots.) The tachos were decent. The tots were done perfectly. The wings were really good! I ordered half with the garlic parmesan seasoning and half with the Jamaican jerk seasoning. Jamaican jerk for the win! And, the BBQ sauces they have at the table were also very good.
Lots of local stuff on tap (which I have come to find is kind of a rarity downtown...beers on tap.)
Service was really good. Thanks Richelle! Very attentive and helpful. Would...
