I just left five star reviews for NINE places in Nashville from the trip I took this past week there. This is the one MAJOR disappointment from that entire trip! My friends and I tried ordering a pizza this past Thursday night. However, I was purposely hung up on FOUR TIMES in a row! The first time someone hung up without even saying hello. The next two times, I was hung up on within seconds of someone answering the phone. I heard someone hello which I said hi back and immediately they hung up. I tried one last time and as soon as someone answered I asked why they kept hanging up on me! They responded, in a VERY rude tone, "Okay are you ready to order then???" At that moment I decided I would not like these people making my pizza and I told them never mind. I don't want people like that making food for me because who knows what they would do. I've heard horror stories of awful people spitting in food and what not.
The concierge at my hotel was standing right in front of my friend and I watching all of this happen. He was annoyed the people working here would treat us like this because he recommends this place to his guests all the time. So he decided to call Michelangelos right after us to see why these people were hanging up on me. Then guess what?? HE got hung up on as well! And he was being perfectly polite. I cannot believe how rude the staff working here is! Do NOT order from them. I can only assume these people simply didn't want to make a late night delivery and were trying to get us to change our minds. Well we did and the hotel I stayed at threw away all the pamphlets for this place and will no longer be recommending them. So the dude who kept answering and hanging up phones on the night of Thursday, March 7th, 2019, you lost this company a lot of business.
And btw, when I got back to my hotel room that night, I called one last time and asked the guy for his name. He said Sam (at least it sounded like he was saying Sam). I let him know I couldn't believe how rude he was and that I'd be contacting his manager. Well I never got around to it since I was in town for an educational conference and was super busy the next day. I still might call, but either way, I hope his manager reads this so he knows what a lousy and rude staff member he has...
Read moreYou can see from the business’ response three truths:
They don’t understand we weren’t upset about the mistake and we acknowledged it was our mistake, it was the way they behaved.
These people are dishonest. The response to this review says they “were ready to make us another one, but we were rude.” That is absolutely the opposite of what happened. Instead of trying to work with us at all, he literally waved our receipt in front of our face scowling at us. When I got my credit card out to pay for an entire other pizza, the man treated it almost like a victory that we submitted to his aggressive behavior. My sister told me not to worry about it, it was not worth it buying another one.
The food is hot garbage. Other people that were part of their little gang were eating out of China. They never offered us plates, napkins, or anything.
Tl/dr: These are not honest people, they don’t make good food. They don’t understand what they need to be doing differently.
What the hell happened to this place? I came in to pick up a pizza and the guy in the counter was angry, almost resented us being there. He was literally holding a receipt in front of my face telling me that it’s not his fault that my order was wrong (which was true and not the problem).
The guy was like borderline intimidating, aggressive, angry, that kind of deal for no reason at all. The pizza was made out of some type of pre-fabricated cardboard and listed as a thin and crispy crust. Man how much do you have to pay around here for an actual pizza crust? This was obviously a frozen out of the box deal for $20.
Every single person in the restaurant was a Middle Eastern man between the age of 25 and 50. Every single one of them knew each other… none of that is a problem except for it was just incredibly tense, awkward and bizarre vibe considering I thought this was supposed to be a great place to go get local homemade pizza.
We were super nice about the whole thing, but nonetheless, we are Caucasian and I felt like we were not welcomed in there. Again, very strange to...
Read moreGross. They're listed on Uber Eats as "Sandwich Masters", which would make McDonalds god tier eats. What was delivered was nothing close to what was ordered. The product descriptions on the app were not what we got. We ordered 2 sandwiches and a burger and all the bread was stale. The burger was a frozen high school cafeteria burger that looked like it had been boiled. The Philly cheese steak didn't have peppers, onions, mushrooms, or cheese and the "steak" looked like scrapings off a cast iron skillet. The Italian sub was missing salami, lettuce, and cheese and the one topping that did come with it, the lettuce, was baked with the sandwich so it was brown and gross. We contacted Uber Eats and they told us to contact the restaurant... Who at first denied they'd received our order (after we'd received the food), then miraculously found it when we insisted. We were transferred to someone else who called himself Ethan and was incredibly rude. He kept cutting us off and arguing with us. He said the things we ordered didn't come with those toppings even though we read the menu to him directly off Uber Eats. He then said it was too busy because it was Saturday so mistakes were made and said he'd put extra toppings on everything the next time we ordered. After telling us we were wrong and debating our reading abilities he proceeded to mock us over the phone before saying "Get a refund from Uber Eats. It's easy for them. Free food. There you go. You're the customer, you're always right. Are you happy?" Will never order from them again and will actively tell people to avoid them. Go buy some gas station heat lamp food, lord knows it'll be tastier and fresher than...
