Auntie Anne's/Carvel Express — Restaurant in New York

UPDATE: Very disappointed in the service at this location. The employees are very unknowledgeable and they struggle to take people’s orders. I’ve never had a problem ordering ice cream at an ice cream shop before but somehow the 2 times I’ve been here the employees have difficulty taking my order as well as the orders of other customers. The other day a customer picked up an ice cream cake and the Happy Birthday written on it was completely illegible! The employees seemed to not understand what the issue was and just stared as this customer was telling them the issue. They didn’t offer any kind of compensation. And if you’re looking for the Wed BOGO Sundae special, don’t bother because they still don’t have hot fudge and they don’t know when they’re going to get it (the sauce in my picture is Hershey’s chocolate sauce, not hot fudge). I was so excited for this Carvel to open but I won’t be coming back until they get it together.

So excited that this Carvel has finally opened!! A great and welcome addition to the neighborhood! Can’t wait to come back on a Wednesday for the sundae...

Cannot give this place a low enough rating. I first tried it in October and got a cinnamon pretzel that was hard as a rock. Nothing like it’s supposed to be with poorly trained employees. I tried it again today and got the cinnamon nuggets. All the cinnamon was melted off the nuggets and they were almost wet texture. And halfway through the cup I find a strip of paper with white hairs attached to it in the middle of the nuggets. Neither the owner or the staff evinced any concern about this....

As amazing as the sundaes and soft serve are the main takeaway has to be the wonderful workers and amazing service they provide. I specifically enjoy going to this location because I can expect quality ice cream while also having a great experience interacting with the staff. They go above and beyond to make sure your order is perfect, exceed expectations, and accommodate however they can.
