Pocha 32 in NYC is an absolute gem! My recent visit to this bar was nothing short of fantastic, and it deserves a solid 5-star review. From the moment we walked in, the vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff set the perfect tone for the evening.
The highlight of our night was the exceptional selection of soju. We indulged in some strong soju that truly hit the spot. But what truly stole the show was the watermelon soju. Served in a real hollowed-out watermelon, it was not just a drink but an experience in itself. The combination of fresh, juicy watermelon and smooth soju was a revelation. It was a refreshing and delicious treat that left a lasting impression.
Pocha 32 boasts a cozy and welcoming ambiance that's ideal for a night out with friends or a romantic evening. The decor is unique, with a mix of traditional and contemporary elements that make it visually appealing. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, always ready to recommend the perfect drink or snack.
Speaking of snacks, the menu is a delightful fusion of Korean and American flavors. We couldn't resist trying some of their mouthwatering dishes. The food perfectly complemented our drinks and added an extra layer of satisfaction to our evening.
What truly sets Pocha 32 apart is its authenticity and dedication to delivering a genuine Korean bar experience. The owners have clearly put a lot of thought and effort into creating a memorable and enjoyable space for their patrons. The combination of delectable food, outstanding soju, and a warm atmosphere makes Pocha 32 a must-visit in NYC.
In conclusion, if you're looking for an unforgettable night out in New York City, Pocha 32 is the place to be. Whether you're a soju enthusiast or just looking for a unique and fun bar experience, you won't be disappointed. I can't recommend this place enough, and I'm already planning my next visit. Read more@pocha32 . What an amazing meal to end the night. We were out celebrating a friends bday, we went bar hopping from 3-9, and I don’t even drink. I did loose count of how many gingerales I drank… . Even with all that liquid, the 8 of us managed to devour all the food we ordered at @pocha32 in Ktown.. there were more than what’s in the reel that we ordered. I didn’t get a chance to take pics of all the food but from my recollection - here is what we ordered… . Beef Bibimbob, Chicken Rice, Kimchi Fried Rice, Corn Cheese, Seafood Pancake, Stone Pot Bulgogi, BBQ Beef (x2) BBQ Pork, The Whole Squid and Watermelon Soju… the deal was to one order per person, we ended up ordering more than that.. but no regrets whatsoever . Food was delicious. Place was packed so you already know the food was going to be good. Someone told me, all the good places are located on the 2nd floor… Pocha32 happens to be on the 2nd floor. This is not to say street level places aren’t good… but could be most 2nd places WILL be good … 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ . Anyways, the tables are all the same size, so it can fit 2-8, but we got lucky and the table next to us left and they were nice enough to let us spread out, we were literally elbow to elbow… but If that were the case, then it is what it is… we weren’t gonna let some elbow to elbow ruin our meal… . The grilled meats were so smokey and full of flavor. All are cooked in the kitchen, so you don’t have to worry about smelling like KBBQ after your meal. All you have to do is eat and not worry about cooking or worse, food being under and over cooked. None of that at Pocha32 for sure… . . It’s definitely a younger crowd for the most part but if the food is good, there is really no age limitation...
Read moreI cam here with a group of 10 for my birthday and it was awesome. The servers aren't the friendliest and even though the place was empty wouldn't give us more than one table until 6 people showed up. Our server was all over the place most the dinner and getting more drinks was a bit of a pain. The server forgot two dishes which was a bit of an issue because they were for the vegetarians at the table. At the end of the meal my girlfriend went up to the server to try and get a birthday dessert and the next thing we know we're getting the check and no dessert. Despite the small issues the food and drinks more than made up for it and everyone had a great time.
We had some yogurt shochu which was good though had a strong artificial taste, definitely not the best I've had. We also got 2 of the watermelon shochu which were good and enjoyed by everyone.
We got the budae jjigae which was awesome. It had a great flavor and tons of meat, it could definitely feed 4. We got the seafood udon which i didn't try but the ones in the party who did really enjoyed it, I saw some massive shrimp in it. We got the gungjung ddukboki which seemed a little small and not very meaty but was tasty, sauce seemed a bit thin. We got a chili pepper scallion pancake and a seafood scallion pancake which people seemed to enjoy. We got the squid soondae which I honestly thought was just ok, it didn't have a ton of flavor. We also got some garlic friend chicken which was delicious. Nothing we ordered was bad and everything was eaten. We had way too much food in the end and I'd recommend 1 dish per 2...
