The Human Bean — Restaurant in Newport

2nd Update... This update is long overdue. But things have changed for the better. I give it five stars!!. Ten if Human bean would not have raised the prices. But the girls are consistently nice, and the coffee is still, consistently good. I really love going here now!!

Update... I do like the coffee & the girls when they're being nice so it bothers me that i have to write this. Latley the attitude from a couple of the girls stinks and, 1 In particular. Not outright mean, I guess i would say indifferent & snotty. These girls used to be nice.

It's caused me to wonder about the managements relationship with they're employees. Is it strained?.. Good management = good morale, good morale = happy employees.

One girl is always nice, she has braces.

I have consistently been a good tipper. I can't always tip but, i try to tip a $1 for each drink if, i can. I worked in bars and restaurants my entire life and, that's a DAMN good percentage. Especially in the wake of the financial strain that Covid has brought to many.

Im always pleasant to you girls when im there. Often I will try out new drinks and I'll have questions. So, don't give me an attitude when I ask you what kind of nut milks you have. It's your job to know the menu, not mine.

This is not about someone having the occasional bad day this has been happening more and more.

From now on I will only tip if the service im getting dosen't leave me rolling my eyes out of disappointment...

Horrible service. I am on vacation and just wanted my Human Bean this morning . The barista had attitude with me, asked me to repeat my drink order mutliple times, yet waited until the end to ring me up. When we got our drinks, they were made completely wrong, and I am not one to come back and complain, but they tasted absolutely horrible. When I returned, she somehow remembered the exact thing we ordered, rushed and made it, handed it to us, and shut the drive through window on us, to our surpise the drink was made wrong again. I rarely leave reviews, let alone bad ones but I got no apologies, and i continued to make conversation and be nice to her. if you are that pissed doing your job that you are getting paid for, then find another one! I really don’t want a negative attitude when having my morning caffiene. I cannot remember the exact barista that I had issues with, but what I do remember is there were two baristas there. We came here on Halloween, yesterday afternoon to get a delicious coffee and treat. When we arrived the girl took our orders and proceeded to go in and make our drinks. Customer service left a lot to be desired but I thought at least the coffee will be good. I was 😑 WRONG! My coffee was iced and when she gave it to me it had a few pieces of ice and was half warm, I asked for whip cream and she used the last of the can and barely gave me any.
