Can't decide where to eat tonight? Try Harpoon Harry's Crab House. It's not just a restaurant, it's an adventure. A place for seafood with a twist that also has some great American plates. Executive Chef and General Manager Eric Lackey has taken some very successful culinary choices that were a hit in Florida, and brought them to Pigeon Forge. The atmosphere is pleasing, with custom hand carved displays, nautical memorabilia, three levels of enjoyable tables and bars, a friendly wait staff, and even an in-house ole fashioned fire truck. There's plenty of parking and good times to be had. A mermaid welcomes you at the door and the next thing you know, you're seated and ready to enjoy a great menu of food that's just so tasty, and may I add, affordable. Sushi lovers will find a Crab House extravaganza, served from Wednesday to Sunday with delightful appetizers like Pork Gyoza Pot stickers, Salmon Cakes, Crab Rangoons lightly fried and served on a bed of spring mix with a spicy chili sauce, and Vegetable Spring Rolls served with a side of spicy chili sauce. Starters include salads like their Fried Krab Stick Salad, a spring mix, cucumber, tossed in a wasabi mayo, topped with fried krab stick and wasabi tobiko. There's Tempura flashed fried rolls, like the Eruption, Godzilla, Volcano, and Death Valley. There's Cooked Rolls, Vegetarian Rolls, Raw Rolls, Spicy Rolls and Nigiri or Sashimi specials. Now it's time to really go nuts and enjoy their dinner menu with a glass of sake. First, choose from over thirteen appetizers with some unique choices like Crab Tots, Fried Calamari, Tropical Shrimp, Louisiana Gator bites and even Frog Legs. Six Salads and Soup options. Eight Farm favorites that include chargrilled Pork Chops, Surf & Turf, Short Rib Brisket Meatloaf, Portabella Chicken, Black Angus Ribeye, Jerk Chicken Kabobs, Teriyaki Ribeye, and Woodford Double Oak Duck. All cooked to perfection with yummy glazes, cheeses, potatoes and veggies. If you love seafood - selections include - Lemon Caper Grouper, Cowboy Shrimp saddled on a blue crab stuffing, North Atlantic Salmon glazed over rice, Cajun Shrimp & flavor enhanced Grits, Blue Crab Stuffed Flounder, Fried Catfish, Grilled Gulf Shrimp, Fish & Chips, and crispy Fried Jumbo Shrimp. If you're feeling a bit crazy, try some Steamers, a Maryland Blue Crab seafood combo, Snow Crab, or "Love of the Sea" medley. Oh yes, they have five Pasta dishes , seven hand held Sandwiches and Burgers, five ravishing delicious dessert choices, and even a kid's menu. Hungry? It does get a bit busy so an early dinner is what I like to do. Remember. Harpoon Harry's Crab House is not just a restaurant, it's...

We had a delightful dinner at Harpoon Harry’s Crab House in Pigeon Forge. It was a joy to discover that all their seafood is wild-caught and flown in fresh. The menu offered an array of delectable options, making it challenging to decide. Our friendly and helpful server, Holly, graciously provided us with a few suggestions. We eventually settled on two starters and two main courses.

Hubby opted for the Louisiana Gator Bites and the Steamed Alaskan King Crab. The gator bites were cooked to perfection, yielding a moist and tender texture. The Alaskan King Crab legs were enormous and brimming with succulent meat. However, I must advise against ordering any of the three flavored butters offered with these dishes. The flavors are so strong that they overpower the natural sweetness of the crab. We politely requested plain melted butter, and it was an absolute delight. I ordered the Sesame Crusted Tuna and the Seafood Trio Extraordinaire. The tuna was beautifully presented, so much so that I almost didn’t want to eat it … almost. However, it was every bit delicious as it was visually appealing.

I couldn’t decide on what to order, so I opted for the Seafood Trio Extraordinaire. It included snow crab claws, crab-stuffed shrimp, and colossal scallops in a coconut curry cream sauce. The dish came with sticky white rice and steamed mixed vegetables.

The rice was perfectly sweet, and the vegetables were very good. The star of the show was, of course, the seafood. Each type of seafood was presented with four pieces. I was a bit hesitant about ordering the scallops because of the coconut curry cream sauce, but it was surprisingly delicate and perfectly complemented the scallops.

The snow crab claws were large enough to have a good bite of meat, and they were cooked very nicely. The crab-stuffed shrimp were tasty, with enough crab to tell it was crab. However, the shrimp were a bit overcooked and tough. I think this was because the meats were sized down for the trio platter, which made it difficult to cook the stuffing without overcooking the smaller shrimp.

Despite being a bit overdone, I still enjoyed the shrimp. A nice thing about our orders was that they were a good size. Even with us each having a starter and a main, we were satisfied but not overstuffed. The portions were reasonable. Unfortunately, we didn’t have room for dessert.

The atmosphere was casual and the interior was beautifully adorned either lots of amazing carved wood posts and columns. It’s worth a visit just to view the wonderful creativity and artistry of...

Frustrating experience there Saturday evening.

Asked to dine on the half empty patio. Told by two people, including the manager, “sure.” Gave them my cell for a “reservation,” was told it would be 10-15 minutes, and I told the attendant that was fine.

Less than 30 seconds later I was called to the desk and taken to a seat in what looked like the end of the restaurant, by what looks like it used to be a dusty wine freezer. Never received a text because there was never time. Basically we were sat in the space where staff use as a pass through. When I told the attendant I was waiting on a place to sit outside, that the other attendant said it would be 10 to 15 minutes, she said, well that’s going to be more like 30. I said, oh, I was just coming in to eat on the patio because of all the empty chairs and tables out there. She said there weren’t enough servers because they were waiting on large parties, but the only parties I saw were individual tables of two, of which there were plenty, even where the large parties supposedly were. So, I thanked her and told her it was OK, but because I had asked about the empty tables, of which there were approximately 30, she appeared to get angry (rather she just couldn’t care less is more accurate) and left. No mention of a server, nothing. I never saw her again.

After that, it was almost 10 minutes before a waiter came to the table. Thankfully, we were ready to order when he got there, but then the order took an additional 30 minutes to get to the table, which was only sushi to begin with.

Keep in mind, the restaurant literally was not very busy.

Meanwhile, I’m sitting there watching Individuals with only two in their party, constantly being seated on the patio.

Once our food came out, we had nothing to eat it with until the waiter finished talking about his family problems to another set of customers. So we sat for another 20 minutes eating, and when we finished, he finally asked if we wanted a refill on our waters as I continue to watch people, new people, pour in and out of the patio area we were told we couldn’t sit in. I’ve eaten here many times, but this was low level for...

We ordered these two dishes: 🌸Grilled 10oz Prime Pork Chop, drizzled with a Bourbon Molasses glaze, accompanied by Bourbon Molasses Sweet Potato Mash and chef's vegetables. ✨Grilled Lemon Caper Grouper Fillet, with white wine butter and capers, house rice pilaf, and chef's vegetables. Even though it took quite a while and the place wasn't super crowded, I must say it was worth the wait. The food was delicious and the service was very good. I would definitely come back to try more because we loved it. The place is very nice, spacious, and clean.
