This was my 1st time visiting this establishment and there were 4 in our group. It started off it started off nice as we walked in we were greeted by the owner and informed that there's no wait staff to order drinks or food and we have to order from bartenders. So I ordered from the bartender our drinks, fried cauliflower and steak sticks, he informed me that they were out of steak, so I asked if they could give me chicken wings he said yes. Once the food came, we only had the chicken, which was put on a plate with no dipping sauce of any kind. We needed more drinks, so I went up to get more drinks, and ask the bartender where the fried cauliflower was? He said oh my bad and entered it in on the computer. When it came it was fried broccoli, not cauliflower. I mentioned that to the bartender and he went over to the table and looked at the bowl and saw the green in there and come back and says bring in there and come back and says no it's all cauliflower and then run in the back it's cauflower and then ran in the back brought out a big tub of cauflower and said see no broccoli. A few minutes later the owner is the owner Tiffany came over came over and asked if she could speak with me outside. Once outside she started accusing me of harassing the staff and saying that we got what we ordered. When I showed her the picture of the broccoli she denied that it was broccoli and said it was cauliflower. I said look I'm a level 7 Google guide and I always post about places that I visit and that I have over 5.7 million views. She said now you're threatening me and I don't want you to go back inside. I said well I have a credit card in there and I'm gonna go back in and get my card. She ring me up handed me the card our bill was $60 and I left a $40 tip and we left the establishment. Tiffany then followed us out to the truck followed us out and handed me my $40 tip back. She mentioned that the place was closing and the building was being tore down. I don't care if it's the last minute of your last day, you still don't treat customers the way that we were the customers the way that we were treated. ...
Read moreNot one to write reviews, especially negative ones, but what I experienced at the Tavernacle recently prompted me to do so. Came in last night (Easter Sunday) with a group of friends for karaoke. What could have been a lovely evening quickly became an issue and an incredibly embarrassing experience for a friend and I. The karaoke host was shockingly unprofessional- we had to put a song ticket in 3-4 times, changing the song constantly because they “could not find the song we wanted to sing” even though the lyrics to said song were pulled up on their computer- it’s an incredibly popular song, all songs we requested were. We were skipped over time and time and time again, keep in mind, Easter Sunday here meant less than 10 patrons in the entire bar. When my friend finally gets up to sing, only able to do so after lying about their name, the host shut down the entire karaoke system and they were left on stage singing lyrics to their song without any music while the host kept asking for their “real name.” If we cared enough, it could have been humiliating, but honestly it was shockingly sad and felt oddly personal, even though we have no idea who the host was or what we could have done to seemingly have upset them. We had never been to the bar before, and though it could’ve become a new spot for my friends and I, I will simply not be returning to give this place by business anytime...
Read moreI dont believe I've ever been as entertained for a 4-hour stretch in my life. For me, it's the hottest ticket in town, and I LOVE going to Jazz games. Shaq and Chuck need to pay this place a visit next time they're stuck downtown. Seriously unbelievable talent with around 10 different performers singing and playing many instruments, including sax, bass guitar, drums, and so much more. Being there, connecting with such hilarious and exceptional fun people on stage; there's nothing quite like it. I feel like anything less than $20 per song is insulting their talent. They all belong on the big stage. They seem like all best friends, and that brings the kind of energy to the room that I really enjoy. I'd recommend bringing $50s. The drinks are perfect for the setting. Add a little bit of plant to the mix, and you may experience one of the best nights you can imagine downtown SLC. I love Vegas, but the talent from this group was as amazing as you can see in the big venues. Making people laugh while singing songs and playing any random request while still making it work. Very few people in Hollywood can do what these guys do, in my opinion. Plus, you get to sit 10 feet from the action. And yes, there is a lot of action there! I usually shy away from being in highly active settings like this for more than a couple of hours, but it was too good to...
