So much potential! We were so excited to try here.
Pros - The hotdogs were pretty good and the prices were reasonable. Their tap wall isn’t open yet due to licensing but that will be awesome. The axe throwing lane is a cool aspect!
Service - Service at the counter was weird. There’s a smiley face bell on the counter that says “Ring me for a surprise!” and I thought it was super cute! I did a little ding. The woman behind the counter looked at me like I was dumb. 🤣 The surprise was me being humbled. Took my cheerfulness down a notch.
Service at our table was also unusual. Being a tap room, we were hopeful they were pet friendly as we walked over. There was no visible sign outside (or we wouldn’t have come in). We sat down inside after ordering with our little 16 lb bulldog. She’s goofy and loves people, clearly not a service animal. The woman behind the counter said very little, nothing about the dog or the outdoor area. Our food came out 5 minutes later and the GM brought it over. He was a nice guy; he had been running the axe lane when we came in. But the way he approached with our food to loudly ask us if she was a service dog (to which we replied, “no sir”) and immediately stated “Georgia Law states that you cannot dine inside. Would you like to sit outside?” We of course happily followed him outside with all the things from our small table. A simple “would you guys mind sitting outside for us? We haven’t put up signage yet but we aren’t allowed to allow dogs. Thank you. We dropped the ball not offering outdoor seating when you came in, but we’re glad you’re here!” would have gone a LONG way. We felt subtly unwelcome and embarrassed.
Then there was a short light colored grey hair in my hotdog’s bacon that I saw 3 minutes later. And neither of us are grey haired, unfortunately. We didn’t feel comfortable telling the management or the server at this point so we just stopped eating.
We’re friendly, tip well, and patron local spots frequently. We work in the industry. For us, the interactions were disappointing. No single aspect was enough for us to leave this review but the combination made us feel like we should be honest. We wish this location growth and success! But I doubt we...
Read moreMy friends and I stopped by Crave on a Friday to try this recently opened spot. Great choice! I had the nacho dog, kid's meal dog with fries, and the wings. They give 2 choices with the wings, plainly cooked or blue each flavored. I went with the plainly cooked so I could try the different flavored bbq sauces offered at the table. Really enjoyed the plainly freshly cooked wings. They were yummy without the sauces. The fries, also cooked fresh were great too. My girlfriend liked her pretzel nuggets. But the best part and where I spent the most money lol was the Beer and Cocktail Wall! I was so happy to see Savannah has a place to do this now. You get a card that they charge and you sample and away. You are charged by the ounce and each item has a different price point. I recommend the house margarita, the salty watermelon, the Georgia peach, and the blueberry drink. We got there at 5pm, perfect since their Happy Hour is from 3-7 pm!!! Those were the best! The service was awesome! Antonio, the manager, serviced us right quick and he made sure we understood what everything was and helped set us up on the Axe throwing. Plus he was really great with other customers. Very friendly! THEY HAVE AXE THROWING!!!! Loved this! It was my first time, and I had wanted to do this for some time. And Jermaine was cool. He helped me with my form and showed me how to throw. Nailed it after several attempts lol. When you order the specialized dogs they don't come with side items, that's ordered separately. I appreciate that they have a Kid's meal, Veggie dog and Gluten free buns, plus meals that DO come with side items. Parking is on the street since it is located at the Baxley apartments. I'll come back to do a Meal Plate. I love Ribs, and want to try their ribs plate with sides of baked beans and cornbread. Photos taken represent this place well. Cool out of the way spot to hit. Recommend it for the service, the drink was and especially to try your hand at...
Read moreDrove almost 4 hours from the city to celebrate my birthday in Savannah! Wanted to pick out a restaurant that both hubby and I would enjoy as he is a hot dog connoisseur. Upon entering, there were only 2 other tables so the restaurant was practically empty. We asked the manager what he recommended on the menu (chicago dog) and we were excited to try. The food brought out was cold, and we had to ASK for it, while the manager was bringing out food and chatting it up with other guests (again mind you there’s only a total of like 6 of us inside). He was extremely attentive with the other two tables but completely dismissed us, didn’t ask how the food was, if we needed anything, or do anything to create a welcoming environment. He was also talking down upon his other employees to guests and created a very weird vibe. As we left, we thanked them for the food but got nothing but stares and silence from him. Hubby and I both have YEARS of customer service experience in restaurants so imagine our disappointment after leaving. Would genuinely never recommend to anyone & disappointed in the 40$ we spent....
