I’m not usually one to complain, but for a company calling itself “Service Brewing”, I left feeling like Service was not up to par.
My wife and I sat at the far side of the bar near the ping pong table, and watched as the male bartender, whose name I didn’t get, looked at us but continued on with his conversation with other guests, rather then approach us and ask what we would like to drink. A good 5-10 minutes passed before one of the female waitresses finally came to us and asked us if we had been helped.
If that wasn’t enough, as someone who worked for 2 years in a brewery owned and operated by other Veterans, when I asked the female waitress what the backstory of Service was, I got a quick reply to the extent of “the owner retired from the service and now this is his new gig”...and then she was off to leave us until we were ready to cash out. Not once did any of the other bartenders come back to check on us or ask if we wanted any more beers.
Maybe we came at a bad time? I’m hoping you can do...
Read moreAbsolutely not family friendly unless they’re 10+ and can wear headphones and not make any noise. They advertise that they’re inclusive and value families but they do not. What attracts families to breweries is that they are welcoming to families. This place should be service “bar” because that is the energy and vibe they want. They did not allow an opportunity to recorrect and instead went immediately to kicking our children out (ages 6,3,and 1). This felt very punitive and shameful. Our daughter started crying while we were looking at the event space and we were asked to leave immediately due to “being a lot with no explanation.” Our table ordered more than any other table. We also had planned on doing our friend’s retirement party there and will no longer give our business to a place that doesn’t support the values that we would want in a family friendly business, such as inclusivity and baseline tolerance. Not to mention that we also provided the live musician with more than adequate tips...

My husband enjoyed the two IPAs he had and I really liked the hard cider, the seltzer was good too but the cider was better in my opinion. The music was awesome! 90s/2000s rock and pop punk vibes, we loved that. We enjoyed the atmosphere with our 9 month old and there was plenty of room for us and there were actually multiples families with babies and kids. That’s actually why I was so surprised and the only complaint I do have is that there is NO CHANGING TABLE! If a business welcomes families and people are spending any amount of time there, there should be a changing table in at least one of the bathrooms but preferably both (dads change diapers too). Regardless we enjoyed the experience and would recommend it and would return. Oh and side note: the hotdog truck was delicious if you...
