Great experience. We arrived right at the Saturday night dinner rush after a long day of traveling. We had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated but considering the rush, they got us seated pretty quick. We used the time to look over the menu so we were ready to order. Menu is mainly specialty pizzas, some wings, and a nice selection of specialty sandwiches. Honestly wished we had time (and a big enough leftover fridge) to try some of the specialty pizzas because they sounded great, and the sandwich options might entice me back for a lunch to try them. Unfortunately, we were exhausted and wanted to keep it simple and quick. As soon as we were seated a server came by and was ready to get our drink order. We let her know we were ready to order our food too. Our server must have seen how tired we were because she had the drinks out very quickly. We got the kids cheese pizza for our daughter, and split a custom 14" pizza (Pepperoni and bacon for me, pepperoni and ricotta for the wife). Again, I think our server put a rush on our order because we had it in about 10-12 um, OKminutes. Our server was attentive to us and other guests and checked in enough to ensure we had what we needed/wanted while not being a nuisance. Can't say enough about the pizza. Loved it! The dough tasted fantastic, I don't normally finish the crust but I did this time. The ricotta on my wife's half was excellent, almost creamy but with that signature ricotta flavor. The regular mozzarella and red sauce were good, and the pepperoni was great. Ambiance was good, it kinda has a chain feel but still had a family owned/mom and pop vibe. Overall it seemed a bit dated with some furniture showing a bit of wear, but family friendly. Would love if they had a few more tvs mounted and showing other games than just the Vols CFB game (I know, I'm in their territory, but all of the tvs I could see were only carrying the Vol CFB feed). We're in town for about 5 days, for our first night out this was solid food choice, might swing by for a lunch bite in a few days...

We visited Big Daddy’s Pizza in Pigeon Forge on May 3rd, 2025, with three families—6 adults and 6 young kids—and this was by far one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had. Despite several empty tables, we were made to wait over 20 minutes to be seated. Once seated, we ordered pizzas and appetizers and hoped for a quick service, especially since our young children were hungry and growing increasingly restless.
Shockingly, even after 45 minutes, we had only received the appetizers, which were consumed in minutes. Over an hour passed and there was still no sign of our pizzas. When we approached the staff to check on the order, the response was not only dismissive but shockingly rude. My wife was told it had only been “30 minutes”—a flat-out lie—and instead of an apology, we were met with arrogance and denial.
The worst part? When we tried to express our frustration and cancel the order, the restaurant manager himself stepped in—not to resolve the issue, but to escalate it. He was rude, dismissive, and blatantly disrespectful, even going as far as to make a racist remark, saying “you guys are always a problem.” This level of unprofessionalism and hostility is unacceptable, especially from a business serving the public.
Big Daddy’s Pizza should be ashamed of how they treat families and customers. The management clearly lacks any understanding of customer service, hospitality, or basic human decency. If you have kids, care about decent service, or expect to be treated with respect, avoid this...
Read moreWe got here around 12 on a Sunday and it wasn't too busy. The waitress was very helpful with our food selection. We ordered a half pepperoni half bacon pizza and dough daddies and finished it off with a cannoli.
The food: they first served us our dough daddies which were really good. For those that get bread sticks with their pizza, this is big daddies alternative though not it stick shape. Next they brought out our pizza. It was average at best. I felt the toppings were scarce. However I did like the fact they didn't put to much pizza sauce on it, which seems to be the crux of to many pizzerias. In the end I preferred the back pizza over the pepperoni. Last thing to come was the cannoli which was excellent.
The service: the service was really good. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful with her recommendations. She was also quick in refilling my drink, which is what I base my tipping off of.
The atmosphere: it was a typical pizzeria. There was a mural of a villa in Italy and tons of pictures of different ingredients that are common to Italian food. Fairly clean room. The was quite a bit of crumbs all over the floor though.
Conclusion: I would give this a 3 1/2 stars if I could but I believe in rounding up. If going for the pizza alone, id recommend some other type of food to...
