I waited all year to go here for my first Anniversary with my Husband as my last experience was great but this time I was greatly disappointed with the food, the service, and the staff...the food for how expensive it was was extremely subpar...we ordered fried dim sum with prawns and sweet chili sauce (the sauce was really greasy so didn't want to use it as the dim sum was also already drenched in oil), deep fried wontons with crab and cream cheese (the crab tasted like canned tuna mixed with cream cheese but I did enjoy the plum sauce) in a spicy plum sauce, my meal was a shrimp and rice in lobster sauce (which would have been better without the lobster sauce as it had chunks of eggs in it and kinda grossed me out) and my husband ordered a pepper steak (which he says was pretty good)...also ordered a sprite with my meal which was fine but the waitress would bring me another glass when I wasn't even halfway done with the first one which was really weird...I thought she maybe was trying to get a jump on her fetching but the sprite would sit there and lose its fizz the whole time I'm still drinking the first one. The waitress was kind of acting like she was in a huge hurry and when we arrived there was only one other table and two others joined as we ate...any waitress worth their salt would be able to handle four tables just fine especially staggered the way they were...sorry just cus you do things in hurry doesn't make it a pleasant experience for the customers...the whole time we both felt pressured to hurry eat and leave which wasn't kewl cus there weren't customers waiting for a spot...in the end my husband was handed the check and he paid through the affiliated business call upside (for the points) and on our end it showed as completed and paid...we tried showing her and she just ignored us so we started leaving...she comes running across the restaurant behind us telling us we can't leave because we didn't pay..when we explained we did and tried to show her she said it didn't show as paid on her side so it wasn't paid and we can't leave (now this was her shouting behind us all of this so the whole restaurant heard) and then she shouted at us she was getting the manager and then ran off...now at this point I normally would have just walked out but my husband showed patience and stayed for the manager who did not even know why he was fetched and the waitress completely disappeared off the floor so my husband had to explain why we were embarrassed and showed not only the completed receipt and the fact that it came out of our acct the manager asked for my husband's name/number and he gave it (which he didn't have to) and the manager said it was all good we could leave and when my husband said he wanted the tip back that he gave the waitress the manager said no no he would talk to the waitress and fix it all (the only thing that should have been fixed is our money returned to us (the tip) or even a small discount given or a gift card offered for the embarrassment but nope nothing)....so we will never go back there and I will tell all people I know what kind of staff works there and what kind of food we got for the...
Read moreMy husband and I have visited this restaurant twice. The first time was great, so I would like to think our experience the second time around was a fluke, but I will never forget it and so i leave this review....
Yesterday was our second wedding anniversary and we decided to go to P.F.Chang's for dinner. We should have known when they sat us next to a dirty table (that did not get cleaned the entire time we were there) that it wasn't going to be a good evening. We ordered our appetizers and they came out fairly quick. As we were finishing up with those, our waiter arrived with our entrees. Within a couple minutes of him walking away, I told my husband what I had been served was not what I had ordered. No sooner did I say that, than my husband was agreeing and saying his order was wrong also. Shortly thereafter, our waiter came back and started apologizing that he had brought us someone else's order. I could have lived with this small mistake and we did brush it off. Then, he arrived with my correct order. I wanted to wait for my husbands food to arrive so we could eat together. Almost 20 minutes later, the waiter arrived with my husbands food. I was finally able to take a bite of my filet mignon, which I had ordered medium well. The first bite down sent my stomach turning. We had a couple sitting very close to us so I didnt want to be rude and aput it out. Instead of continuing to chew, I swallowed the entire hunk of meat...I knew if I spit it out and saw what I knew it was, I would vomit. So I cut another piece in half to check it and it was completely RAW, barely seared on the outside. So, again, we waited. After another almost 20 minutes, I finally flagged down the hostess and asked if we could get a waiter to our table. About 5 minutes later, what I assume was the manager (no idea because he didnt introduce himself) came to our table and apologized. He offered to replace my order, but I felt so sick at that point I just wanted to leave. They took the other person's order off of our bill, as well as the correct entrees. For our two drinks and appetizers, we still walked out paying $54.00 and I will never forget my second wedding anniversary, not in a good way. The manager did stop us on the way out to apologize again and handed my husband $35.00 in gifts cards I doubt we will ever use because I dont want to go back!! You guys ruined my anniversary dinner and we still walked out paying over 50 bucks!!!! I have dined at the majority of restaurants in Spokane and have never had such a terrible experience. You think going to a more high end restaurant means things like this wont happen, but boy were...
Read moreI'm combining two separate visits with similar experiences. This was the second time we've been to this PF Changs, and while the food is great - we've been disappointed with the service both times.
The food was very good. Mongolian Beef, Pepper Steak, and Fried Rice were delicious. The Orange Chicken had great flavor, but the breading was just too thick. The stars of our meal were the appetizers - the chicken lettuce wraps and the crispy green beans should not be missed. We enjoy the family style serving so we can all share/taste. On both visits, they didn't have the needed items to make Huckleberry Lemon Drops. On the first visit, the bartender offered a suggested substitute. On the second visit, the waiter was uncertain what other flavors they did have, so we just ordered Vodka Crans.
On our first visit, we were seated in the bar with the bartender serving our dinner. When she came to check if we were ready for our next round of drinks, she literally interrupted my husband mid-sentence, SNAPPING HER FINGERS at him to get his attention. So rude.
We decided we would give it another shot but were even more disappointed than our first visit. We knew going down on a Saturday in December it would be very busy, so we made sure to get reservations a day in advance. We got there a couple of minutes before our reservation time and were told we didn't have reservations. After showing them the emailed confirmation of our reservation, they told us they would work on a table for us. They were giving walk-in customers an estimated wait of 30 minutes, so with our reservations, we anticipated being seated sooner. After waiting over 40 minutes and watching several walk-in parties get seated, I finally asked how much longer. We waited about 10 minutes more before finally being seated. Had we not made reservations, I would certainly expect to wait on a busy Saturday night. However, a nearly hour- long wait beyond our reservation time was really unacceptable. Once seated, our waiter was pleasant but clearly overwhelmed; forgetting some items but bringing them quickly once brought to his attention.
I believe the manager was there but never approached us, explained the issue, nor apologized in any way for the excessive wait. Only one hostess apologized when, at the 40-minute mark, I expressed our frustration. We had a party of 6, and between the three couples, we spent around $500. In spending this kind of money, I would hope the experience would have been better. So, while the food is great, I don't know we will be back - the service is simply...
