This restaurant was recommended to us by the front desk clerk at our hotel and for the most part was a good choice. First, there is a limited amount of parking in front of the restaurant, but plenty of parking to the rear. The outside of the restaurant is very appealing and there is seating available both inside and outside. The restaurant’s atmosphere is very warm and receptive, and we loved the southwestern interior design layout. The menu offers a variety of different food options, from Mexican to typical American food dishes. The staff members, from the hostess to all the servers, were top notch, friendly, engaging and helpful in making suggestions on some of their more popular dishes. We decided on the murder burger and the Philly Cheese for dinner. The food was prepared in a timely manner and served fresh and hot. The burger and fries were wonderful, perfectly cooked and delicious. However, the Philly was one of the worst we have ever had, burnt bun and overcooked meat with absolutely no flavor, just terrible. We were very lucky to have an outstanding server who took very good care of us and without us even asking. Her name was Cicely and was a true professional, the restaurant is lucky to have her. Bottom line, it just might have been a bad night for the Philly sandwich, because we would most likely...
Read moreWe came here with a breakfast voucher from Under the Eaves bed and breakfast. The only things not covered with the voucher are the Fresh Fruit bowl and espresso drinks.
Oscar's is great! There was no wait when we came (second week in August). Well-priced, delicious food, awesome staff. I got the Pancake Combo and my boyfriend got the Belgian Waffle Combo. We both recommend our dishes! The waffle was sweet and crunchy and comes with fresh fruit and whipped cream. The pancakes are the multigrain buttermilk pancakes, which are hearty, fluffy, big and spiced with cinnamon. The scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked and the ham was thick, juicy, and perfectly cooked. The only thing I'd critique is that I don't think the maple syrup is "real" maple syrup (please correct me if I'm wrong), but that's a very nit-picky thing and not really a complaint, just an observation.
Despite our food being covered by the voucher, I'd say the food is still reasonably priced without the voucher. The portions are also pretty large.
We sat outside and the patio area is really cute. The morning air was excellent and we had great views of the mountains surrounding the area.
Everyone on the staff was super friendly, too. Overall, I would recommend Oscar's to anyone staying...
Read moreThis place has great food!! With how Springdale is, you can't really go wrong with restaurant choices, but these guys know what they are doing. They have a fusion menu with Mexican and American flavors. Their portions are HUGE so you will easily get at least 2.5 meals out of them. They don't have a reservation system so it is first come first serve. Their parking lot is across the street and is filled with scree so be careful while parking.
We sat on the patio, which was nice and warm but had a breeze. We ordered the chicken pesto quesadilla and the pork enchiladas. I also got Sangria. The quesadilla was gigantic. It was basically a pizza. The quesadilla with cheese, then pesto, cheese and chicken on top. There were roasted pecans which was an interesting touch and I loved it. There were 8 pieces and I got through 2 somehow. The enchiladas were delicious. They came with lots of green chili and cheese, beans and rice. Additionally, there was a southwest salad which was very tasty too! That plate was also pretty big, but nothing like the quesadilla. The sangria was very cooling and delicious.
We were very happy with our experience and I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a place for...
