Oakie's Deli and Delights — Restaurant in Tybee Island

Online menu is very outdated and the same menu is pinned at the top of their Facebook page too. It was unfortunate to learn after arriving that most of the items I was looking for were no longer available. I ended up settling for something else. My ham, egg, and Gouda sandwich was supposed to be scrambled and came fried and they put the tiniest piece of cheese. I arrived a little after 10 when they open and they just were putting the chocolate glazed donuts out and had fresh glazed. Everything else was left over donuts from yesterday. The fresh donuts were very good. Surprised by 10:30 they didn't have more donut options to choose from. I asked about items not being available and the girl behind the counter did not express much concern about the menu being different or the lack of advertised items. I would have liked to make this a staple every time we come to Tybee but there just wasn't much to come back to. Maybe if they can keep sites updated and items available...

Unfortunately this will be my first and last adventure with this place . I’m not typically someone who leaves a review . We came for a small get away vacation and on our way out stopped here for what we hoped would be a good breakfast given the reviews ! I was sadly disappointed when I received my hot honey chicken biscuit all I can say is it was inedible. The chicken was burnt the pimento cheese was burnt the to top of the biscuit and now just crisp it was black ! Lack of hot honey . After waiting an hour for this food I wouldn’t come here or recommend someone coming for breakfast if you don’t want to be sorely disappointed . My husband had the Gravy train and nothing tasted like jalapeño cheddar or friend chicken and there was a lack of gravy . We like to give our business local but we will absolutely not...

Like to share that this place’s food is MORE than worth the price. Whether it’s after the beach, or catching surf. Extremely fast service, quality ingredients, and not expensive at all. If you’re ever in Tybee check this place out! The owners of this shop are very pleasant and very friendly. The husband of the shop offered to take up one of the boards on their porch just to retrieve my friends belonging that fell through the cracks. Even offered to mail it to us since we were going back home. A great atmosphere, great place,...
