Let me start by saying that the food was decent. Nothing else about the meal was good. Went in to have breakfast on a Sunday morning and we were left sitting at the table along with some people that got in there even before we did, without so much as even menus. No silverware, no napkins, sticky table. When somebody finally did get around to bringing us menus, after we ask a couple of times and they told us somebody would be right there without giving us menus, she dropped off menus and did not even so much as ask about drinks or offer water. I waved her back down so that we could order drinks. I ordered a bloody Mary with no salt on the rim. I got a bloody Mary with salt. This isn't just a preference for me it's a health issue. They do not have a kids menu for breakfast at all so you have to order full size meals. I was informed that they can change the portions but that they don't change the price hahaha We finally figured out something that I can split between the two kids (7&9) I order an egg breakfast with a side order of pancakes. I order scrambled eggs, with bacon and hash browns split between them and then the side of pancakes, two pancakes, one on each plate. They bring the food out and no bacon. Every single plate has sausage on it, including my own. SMH So for the second time now she got the order wrong. Clearly does not pay attention or listen well or does not communicate well to other staff.
This is not a family/kid friendly environment on a Sunday morning during games. I'm assuming that's why they don't have a kids breakfast menu maybe? They do have a kids lunch menu weirdly enough but not a breakfast menu. I mean why would you even do that? Makes no sense at all. Who wants to spend $19 on a kid's breakfast when they can only eat 1/4 of that amount of food? Service was not good overall. Pretty disappointing. Food however was okay in general once we got the right food. Not a place I would go again....
Read moreThe atmosphere at Boston's is exactly what you'd expect from a low-frills pub. If you like that sort of thing, you'll like Boston's. If you don't, order out. With young children, that's generally what we do. Take out orders are always prepared fast (we usually have to leave the house quickly to meet the food being ready by the time we arrive), if not sometimes inaccurate. Check your order before you leave. The servers have always been very nice and accommodating. They are just working fast and sometimes mistakes happen
Much of the food is also par-for-the-pub course. Burgers, wraps, salads, a steak offering or two. They are apparently known for their fried chicken but I haven't had that yet.
But here's the kicker: they have--bar NONE--the best French fries I've ever tasted (and ranch dressing to match). Sometimes we order food plates just so that we don't look weird only ordering fries. You will eat then until you are sure you've eaten too many and then you will order them again. They probably take years off your life and are...
Read moreThe food here is usually always on point, fresh and delicious and most of the staff I’ve met are great. The Owner himself does his rounds to say hello, you don’t find that many places anymore. However, if you don’t like random people (servers) touching you, especially if they don’t know you, this isn’t the place to go. Recently, one female server walked up to my male companion, touched his chest with an open hand, then walked away, and she wasn’t even our server, she literally just walked over to touch the person I was there with.
I’ve been here more than once over the years, and have experienced this more than once; male companions were both touched by a server in this way. I never observed these female servers touching female guests at all.
The times we experienced this, my companions didn’t even know these people, so it was even more strange. I understand folks do all sorts of things to earn good tips but, maybe respecting someone’s personal boundaries and space would be a...
