Walking around Amsterdam Centraal, the Captain saw us and said "Hey, care to join us for a canal cruise?" We were looking to do a cruise anyway, but I had to use the bathroom first, which I expressed to the Captain. He said, "We've got a toilet onboard - cleanest of all the boats in Amsterdam." SOLD. And, for the love of all the pancakes and herring in the city, he was right. Not only this, but this was a seriously pretty boat - with long blue velour upholstered benches and sewing-style tables at various intervals. This made it more homey and more open than the other boats out there - as far as we could tell. We had a serenely comfortable, intimate cruise. The Captain was funny yet professional, and the attendant, Jule, was so sweet and helpful - curious too about the backgrounds of her guests. As we are American, she shared her experiences when she visited the US. We rented a boat through Rederij de Nederlanden for our wedding. From the very first interaction (getting quotes) they were quick to respond, very professional, and very accommodating.

As the day got closer and we had to arrange more details, they were extremely easy to work with, and very friendly, and again, very accommodating.

Our day was perfect, we put a lot of our day in their hands, and they handled it beautifully. I would definitely recommend them. If I ever need to arrange a work outing, I will definitely try to use this company again. I have not a single complaint.

We worked with Rederij van Nederlanden to host a wedding event on Het Wapen van Amsterdam, for approximately 80 people. The captain and staff were all friendly and professional, and created a lovely experience for all of our guests. The boat had the perfect amount of space to have both seating, and plenty of room for people to walk around and mingle. We were also able to have a DJ on board as well. Catering was well-timed throughout the 3 hour event, and while the food wasn’t anything life-changing, it was all tasty.
