TERRIBLE service. I called the listed phone 3 times and no one answered so I had to walk there to order my carry out. While waiting, I called the phone again since it was right in front of me and the phone did not make a sound even though it seemed to be ringing on my phone. I told the lady about the phone situation and she just moved some cables around and pretty much ignored the situation. I ordered my carry out with her and for some reason she looked distant and/or unfocused as she was taking my order. I asked her what was approximately the wait time for my order and she replied that there were about 20 tickets in front of me so it would take a while, I asked again if it would take an hour or more but she did not answered me. I didn't want to wait there for my food too long so I told her that I would go back to my apartment across the plaza and if I could call them to check on my order. She got my phone number and name and said she would call me when the order was ready. I went back to my apartment and waited 3 hours and no one called me so I had to go back to the restaurant to check on my order. When I got there another gentleman said the order was ready a while back but since it was too long ago they discarded it. I said to him that the lady was supposed to call me when the order was ready but she never did. She was there walking around but never came to see me to explain or at least apologize. The other gentleman acted like he was busy until I stopped him and asked him about my order. He was about to re-write the order to which I just shook my head and walked away. Terrible service from the lady. Never going back again. (IT SEEM TO ME THAT THEY ARE SELECTIVE ON WHAT TYPE OF PEOPLE THEY WANT TO SERVE, at least that was my...
Read moreMy wife and I visited the Quandary Tequila Bistro for our 6:30pm reservation on Monday, 12/19/2022. The host (who was also our server) seated us immediately and was prompt with our margaritas. Upon receiving our drinks, we placed our food order which included soup to start. At the 30 minute point, our server said the soup was taking longer than expected, but he hoped to have it to us shortly. There were at least eight empty tables we could see around us, so it didn’t appear to be terribly busy. At the 50 minute mark without any additional explanation from anyone, my wife and I hit our threshold, and I walked to the kitchen to find the manager. I informed the manager that we had been waiting for fifty minutes and still did not have our food. I told him that the drinks would be on him and he responded with “have a great vacation”. We left at that point. I will add that the wait staff we observed appeared quite disheveled, dressed in sweatshirts and ripped jeans. Not the welcoming uniform one would expect to find at a restaurant that serves tomahawk steaks. I understand that many businesses are short staffed, but a little concern/communication from the management and a more congenial response to my situation would have gone a long way. It seems that the Quandary could benefit from better leadership and training.
Update 12/21/22 - Looks like the owner decided to chime in with an accusation that I was “arguing” with the manager. That, of course, didn’t occur. I hope all the Google review readers see the type of care and concern the owner has when one of their patrons waits an unreasonable amount of time for their food. The same might just...
Read moreWe should have known our experience at Quandary Grille was going to be terrible based on our arrival. We had made a reservation and showed up a little bit late. Upon arrival the manager was incredibly rude saying we should have called ahead if we were going to be late. I mention this because the restuarant was far from being fully sat and most of the patrons were concentrated at the bar. Once sat, we asked to have seperate checks for each of the couples. Something that should be done without an issue since we asked at the beginning. Following this our waitress gave us a hard time having to check mutiple times if this would be possible. Once we finally got all of drinks and orders in, that is where more problems arose. The food came out sporadically and one of our guests had to wait an absorbant amount of time for a quesadilla, a dish that is typically made in less than 10 minutes. Additionally, we had to get up and find our own ketchup/mustard since that was too much to get in between people waiting to get served. Not to mention drink orders were slugish to be filled besides having to remind the waitress. In the end, they did take the quesadilla off one bill, which was the absolute least that could do. My advice to anyone who thinks about going here, the manager was willing to let a 14 person group not eat there over being a little late for a reservation. Do you think they will treat you like you deserve, given a hanburger is $16? Wouldn't you expect a little better service?
I have added pictures of the resturant not being full to...
