This is a review for our wedding at this venue We had a lovely June wedding at Main Street Station in Breckenridge. We were so thrilled with our entire experience - from booking, communication, the very reasonable price to the housing on site and it was easy for our guests to book. Shawna is wonderful and helped coordinate things and deliveries. We had the ceremony on the upper deck which was private and beautiful views and our cocktail hour at the Pioneer Room. We also had an impromptu gathering the Thursday before in the Pioneer Room and the Sunday after which allowed our guests to mingle and meet. A great thing about Pioneer is for cocktail hour you can byob and save some costs. Having everyone stay on site was fantastic, the suites are gorgeous and convenient. We originally were sad we couldn't have a different venue in Breck for our date but it was the best thing that could have happened because Main Street worked so beautifully for us. Highly recommend. Another huge pro was that we could quickly dump decor etc into part of the ballroom and then organize/pack it up the next day -- definitely not the case with other venues. It allowed us to relax and focus just on enjoying the day, and worrying about the details and clean up after.

I should have listened to the other reviews. My trip was great yet ended on a horrible note. The reason I chose this location was due to the FREE parking they advertise on thier website, and, well...everywhere. They do NOT offer free parking, because I recieved a $77 ticket for parking in the hotel parking garage. Upon arrival, the staff hands you a map and circles your building, and the area which you can park. They assure you, that "everything is color coded and easy to understand". Here's the problem: When you make your way down into the garage, if you are staying in the WEST building which is marked as "A" on the map they hand you - the elevator section is coded green. If you are staying in the EAST building which is coded "B" on the map they hand you, the elevator section is coded yellow. However, if you are staying the WEST building, you can only park in the yellow A parking and if you are staying in the EAST building, you can only park in the green B parking. Still following? After trying to figure that out (on my own, because the staff doesn't bother to explain this clearly), I understood I needed to park in the yellow A section for my building. I displayed my parking tag as instructed clearly on the rearview mirror. I went through the little gate in the garage, only to see that there was no clearly marked parking for yellow "A", but there was an abundance of green "B" parking. Another thing they do not explain upon check in, is there are only a very limited number of spots availible in the yellow A section - if any - so, any vehicle that is large and takes up 2 spots or anyone who doesn't know how to park, taking up 2 spots, really limits your parking capability. After walking around the garage, trying to figure out how and where I could park, a large truck that was taking up two spots, finally moved out of a yellow "A" section, so I immedietly parked my car there. On either side of my car, I saw nothing but "A" on the concrete columns which had yellow and was near the yellow painted elevator. You can imagine my suprise when we go to leave at the end of my stay, where I discover a parking ticket for $77 on my windshield. Thinking it was a big mistake, I went to the front desk to speak to someone about it and Christina was there. I explained the situation and she assured me that "the HOA always waives the tickets when this happens." She took the ticket from me. I asked for some type of confirmation (she kept taking calls even though I was in front of her, which made me feel like I was bothering her) and she said I could take a photo of the ticket, but she needed the ticket in order to get it waived. She said someone wouldn't be in until Tuesday to confirm that my ticket was voided. Instead, I get a call back from Christina on Monday to inform me via voicemail that the picture on the parking ticket CLEARLY shows I am parked in retail parking and I will need to pay this fine. Are you kidding me? I pay $800+ to stay at this hotel due to the advertised free parking, dispay my parking tag clearly on my mirror, and then I recieve a parking fine for parking in the yellow "A" marked area? Do yourself a favor and do not stay at this location. The map doesn't really match the actual parking situation in the garage, and frankly, it's extremely confusing and not well explained by the staff upon check in. Christina could have taken the time to listen to me, look at the ticket received, reviewing the photo on the ticket as well as my own photos that I offered to show her, but she didn't bother. I felt like I was brushed off in the moment, with every intention of calling me the next day to tell me: too bad, so sad - you have to pay this afterall. What a waste of money and time. Do not stay here unless you plan to pay almost $100 extra for...

Important to know that this is a timeshare (or "vacation club" property), and management prioritizes owners. We stayed here in early January and were given what must be one of the worst rooms in the entire property, on the ground floor overlooking the driveway and the main road. At night, headlights from cars on the main road shine into the condo, and if your lucky, delivery trucks will idle in the driveway for an extended period of time. There's no way to know what kind of room you will get ahead of time. We paid A LOT of money, and this is the room we were stuck with because we are mere guests and not owners. ||I posted an initial review (with 3 stars), but felt the need to edit and repost, as well as include the response from the property management to that original review. The property's response to my initial review tells you all you need to know about the property: as a renter, you are second class to the owners. Unless you are a Hyatt Vacation Club owner, why stay here and subject yourself to second-class treatment? You're better off staying elsewhere in town, maybe in a condo on AirBnB where you know exactly what you will get. We also stayed at the Gravity Haus on this trip - that is an incredible property.....far exceeded the stay we had here. This may be a great property if you are an owner, but if not, there's no reason to pay a premium price and be shafted.||Finally, in response to management (see their response to my original review at the bottom), its a gross understatement to suggest that our stay "fell short of exceeding expectations". It is more accurate to say the stay FELL FAR SHORT OF BASE LEVEL EXPECTATIONS. Management says they "hope [we] choose to return and visit again in the future". No, we will never return to this property - I'd rather spend my money somewhere where I'm valued and welcomed as a guest, and not explicitly told I'm not a priority. ||MY ORIGINAL REVIEW:|The property is really nothing special. Rooms are a little dated (throw back to 1999), lighting in bedrooms and bathrooms is poor, and both toilet seats in our 2-bedroom are somewhat broken. Important to know: there are basically no services here. This is really just a condo building with the Hyatt name on it, with a “concierge” desk in the front hallway and a fitness center downstairs. There is no lobby, no common areas, and no onsite restaurant. Don’t expect hot cocoa or anything to welcome you back after a day on the slopes. Some websites show pictures of a lobby or common areas and an onsite restaurant, but those are most definitely not onsite at this property. It does have a relatively decent location where Main Street meets the ski hill, so lots of restaurants around, but none actually onsite, which may make a difference if you’re traveling with small kids and it’s 15 degrees out, like us. There’s a ski valet in the adjacent building, though they lost my wife’s skis this morning. There is also no housekeeping.||Perhaps the biggest issue for us: we are paying big money to stay here……and we have a lovely ground floor room with a view of the driveway and the main road outside. Beware, not all rooms have the beautiful views over the pond and the mountains. You may pay just as much as the rooms with the nice views, yet be stuck looking at delivery trucks and emergency vehicles like us.||MANAGEMENT'S RESPONSE TO MY ORIGINAL REVIEW:|Nelson, thank you for your review and feedback. We are a vacation ownership resort, so we are different than a traditional resort or hotel, and views are prioritized for our owners. We are sorry your stay fell short of exceeding expectations, but we hope you choose to return and visit again in...

Positives: Location. That's it.||Negatives: Where do I begin?? There's no A/C, and in July, the room temp can get rather uncomfortable, especially for sleeping. The solution? Open the windows. Sure, except for the constant noise of drinking patrons on the street below until well past 1am. We slept uncomfortably until we couldn't stand it any longer, at which point, we had to open the windows and just wait for the noise to subside before getting any sleep.||The a/c is non-existant. So, be prepared to either sleep in a warm stuffy room, or open the windows and lie awake until 1:30-2:00am when the noisy bar hoppers and drinkers finally decide to call it a night. What a terrible way to sleep!! ||The parking... good heavens what a nightmare!! It's incredibly confusing, and the "map" they hand out looks like a copy of a copy of a copy of a map thst was colored in by a child in kindergarten. We were instructed to park in the green section... but there were no spots in the green section, so I found a spot just on the opposite side of the green section's rope. Despite having a properly displayed parking hangtag showing we were current Main Street Station patrons, we still woke up to a $127 parking ticket!! There is a sign on the wall of the entrance to parking garage that says "Overnight parking for Main Street Station patrons only". OK... So, why post that if you're going to ticket the Main Street Station patrons who paid $300/night to stay here?? And then, offer absolutely ZERO remorse or sympathy to the situation. When I talked to the man at the front desk that morning, he got snippy with me and asked "Well, did you bother to come up and talk to us when you saw there were no green parking spots? If you had, we would have directed you to a different parking spot. You parked in a paid parking area. I can't help you." Seriously?? Overnight is supposed to be for MSS patrons only, yet when we park there overnight, albeit in a spot other than the unavailable color coded section, we get slapped with a $127 parking ticket. Such a joke!! We will NEVER stay here ever again, and will be sure to let all of our friends know what terrible customer service...
