First Light Seattle — Attraction in Seattle

Having been in real estate for over 20 years, I have witnessed firsthand the challenge of balancing design, functionality, and long-term livability when creating a residential building. First Light nails that balance—bringing together world-class architecture, thoughtful design, and a distinctly high-end yet understated aesthetic. Amazing facility, but terrible management. I visited and stayed with a friend who lives here and the experience was disappointing from the start. Management seemed to be policing us at every turn, making it impossible to relax and enjoy what should have been a top-tier property. Instead of feeling welcomed, the entire stay felt like being micromanaged. At one point, while using the amenities, my friend stepped away to take a private call. Within minutes, the concierge was contacting them on their mobile to say his guest (me) wasn’t allowed to be anywhere without their presence. Every day I pass by this building, and it’s exciting to see how close they are to finally opening. The design is so striking—there’s something surreal about seeing a pool that extends beyond the building’s edge. It’s such a bold, unique architectural feature. The glass veil that wraps around the lower levels is equally impressive, giving the whole structure a sleek, modern look. I can only imagine how incredible it must be to live in a place like this.
