Stayed there 2 nights with friends. First line view to Giza plateau and pyramids, even the Sphinx from certain rooms. Wonderful view and picture from Top Roof Bar. Staff: Unbelievable friendly and helpful. Special mention at Top Roof Bar to Mr Ali Baba , just like a father to all customers; always a smile and very witty remembering your preferences. A real gentleman, too. Mr Yusuf was also a great help. Very clean premises. Customised corridors and even the elevator/lift with Old Egiptian motives. A bit too flashy, but, it is meant for tourists. Lots of staff making sure you were properly entertained and served. Rooms: A bit messy corridors to get to some of them. Very clean and with amenities and your own boiler for hot water (so, it´s up to you if you overuse hot water) .Good space and not noisy. More price for the rooms with a balcony to pyramids (but, 1st line price is also the noise and smells of the street: camels and horses to and fro). If you are a light sleeper, I´d recomend an "standard room"= "no balcony" room; just a window to an "Egitian patio" , but far from street noise, lift engine noise and crossing corridors...... so very silent for a good sleep.
Front desk staff also very welcoming and providing with anything you may need: from general information to tips on tourism, food, prices, etc. Special mention to Dina (the only woman I saw in the premises) and Muhamad (slim and very friendly, who helped us with suggestions to try real local food at cheap prices , and with all the silly needs we all have when outside our own country)
They all made my stay there a very good experience. Cont: although my arabic is not too good, the owner seemed a bit rough to his workers. Shoudn´t do that ..... but, it is an opinion. Marraukhra, inshallah. Good...
Read moreThe hotel provided us pick up and drop off to and from the airport. When we got there, they helped us with our luggage. Very kind staff. Keep in mind, they don't have a restaurant upstairs. To get food, you have to order from the menu provided and they will prepare it for you on the balcony. Breakfast takes a while too because it's not a buffet. You have to let them know that you want breakfast and they will prepare it for you. If you have plans in the morning, I'd suggest that you do this early. Before we left, they prepared us breakfast to go. Also, the hotel gets smelly during the day. That's because there are horses outside of the hotel. But the smell doesn't get into the room. We booked a room with a balcony. Earplugs are recommended because it gets noisy during the night. So many dog and cat politics. A/C worked great for us. Overall, we made the best out of this experience and it was conveniently located close to where we...
Read moreStayed here from October 6-15 2022. Location Location Location. Only moments away from the Sphinx entry gates. There is a KFC and Pizza Hut just around the corner as well as a convenience store. There is also a Chinese restaurant about 3 mins walk away. We stayed in the apartment on the ground floor. Breakfast was served on the upstairs terrace every morning. Whilst it was the same every day you don't need variety as it is quite filling. The view from the terrace is amazing. Mahmoud was the manager and he was able to help with each and every request we made. Sadly he has moved on since we stayed there. Most of the staff are great except for the owners relatives who work there. If Sherif is still there he is a good worker too. The boys who serve breakfast and sorry I am unable to recall their names are friendly and work hard so make sure you...
