Penzion Podhradí — Local services in okres Český Krumlov

We stayed in 2 rooms for 1 night with our kids. The penzion is right on the river, and if you stand up in your room, you can look out the high small window and see the beautiful view of the castle. The rooms are simple and clean. Unlike the house, where you can see areas with lots of clutter. The owner is a chain smoker (on the patio, just below the rooms) so we constantly smelled the cigarette smoke. The outdoor patio/breakfast area is shared with the owner. The coffee and breakfast were well below average. I really wanted to like this pension, but I would have checked out after the first night if we had reserved...

This B&B is definitely a good value for the money spent. The price is very good for Cesky Krumlov. The room is very basic, but you don't need more when you spend all day out anyway. The view of the river and the castle is amazing and so is the breakfast out on the terrace with the same view. Breakfast is as basic as the room, but nice enough and sufficient. The land lady didn't seem very nice and helpful over the phone, but actually is really nice face to face. The only thing I didn't like was that there seems to be a lot of mess in the common areas and on the terrace. I would recommend this B&B for...

I am surprise to find just one review here. This pension deserves some good words. First of all, Cesky Krumlov is a walkable town and the pension is just located beside the river and about 10min walk to the castle. There is a great view of the castle from the room. Breakfast are served on the terrace by the river and consists of cheese, hams, yoghurt, bread, coffee and tea. The owner is a very kind lady. Rooms are basic. Other than the majestic views of the castle, you can also see and hear the flow of the river...
