TLDR: I was told if I had the receipt I could exchange the necklace over the phone. when I visited the store in person, I was told the same thing. I came back 2 weeks later with receipt and necklace and they tell me they won’t exchange it.
I purchased 2 gold plated necklaces for around $600 in August 2023. I loved the necklaces, loved the price even more. I always wore them together since they stacked very well. Had 0 complaints.
In the beginning of May, I realized that one of the necklaces had a lot of dents and the gold was starting to peel in multiple locations. This was really upsetting. Not only because I did spend a good amount of money, but because i genuinely liked the necklaces.
Not expecting anything to be done, I called the store and told the employee the situation and they said “as long as you have the receipt we can make an exchange for you” I was so excited! I did not believe anything could be done since it’s already been 8ish months since purchase but I was told there was! I live around an hour away from the mall so I couldn’t just pick up and go over the same day.
About a week later, I had some free time and decided to go to the mall to get my necklace swapped out. When I got there, the employee was super helpful. He informed me that they didn’t have the exact necklace I wanted, but they could exchange it for something similar and I would pay a difference if there was any. I was a little sad, but happy there was something that could be done. After realizing that there were too many options, the store was already 10 minutes past close and I didn’t want to keep the employee there any longer I said I’ll come back earlier another day so I could take my time on deciding.
I ended up traveling for work for a few weeks, but right after I landed I took my car from the airport and drove right to the mall to swap out the necklace. This time I was greeted by another employee saying that she won’t do the exchange because “I bought the necklace almost a year ago”. When I called on the phone the first thing I said was the date I purchased it. I came into the store originally confirming that it’s okay to exchange even though I bought it in August 2023. It was never an issue before but it suddenly became an issue now. The employee offered the tumble my necklace and said it might help. It didn’t. Just made it shiner and made the peeling worse. I kept mentioning to her that it wasn’t an issue the prior times but she wasn’t budging. She said she wasn’t doing any type of exchange it’s been too long. Then, while I’m clearly upset she suggest “put the part that’s peeling in the back so no one can see it” and started laughing ?? Completely unprofessional and unhelpful .
I love this shop. I just found out about them last year and spent probably $2k in gifts for others and myself in that time. But this was really frustrating experience that really makes me regret spending the money there.
To be very clear, I’m not upset that I wasn’t able to get an exchange. I’m upset that I was told twice, once over the phone, and once in person that I will be able to make an exchange. Then when I come back a day I have some more time, I was denied what I was previously offered. I understand if there’s a store policy that needs to be maintained, but because if the lackadaisical enforcement of the policy, a lot of my time and energy was wasted. Please go over the exchange policy with all the employees so no one has their time completely...
Read moreI was here last week and just went in to browse but ended up looking at some rings. It's hard to find my ring size most of the time but they had a ton of them in size 10. A very friendly woman with colorful arm tattoos helped me, and she really seemed to get my style. I probably was there too long but there was so much to look at. She never got impatient or rude like I've had people get at some other stores when I asked to see some rings that I already looked at, she just said no problem and took them back out and helped me find the one I was thinking of, along with some that were similar to it. I felt like she was honest when I wanted her opinion about what rings ones looked best on me instead of just picking one of the most expensive ones, in fact one she said looked really good was one of the least expensive and she was right. I've even gotten some compliments on it! I only spent about 40 dollars for the two rings I bought, and I'm very happy with them. I will definitely look for her next time I'm there to get her help again. Excellent store, and I plan to shop...
Read morePurchase a stainless steel rope chain a little under 2 weeks ago. I wore it a total of 2 times and it became tangled. I brought it up there to see if they could help me fix it and the woman which I assume was the manager was bothered by me right away. Definitely made me feel like I was an inconvenience to her. She couldn't figure it out so I asked if I could just exchange it for a new one and was also looking to purchase another one that was longer and she said not without the receipt and that she didn't know if it was purchased there. Mind you it was identical to the ones she had on display. I told her I have the receipt at home and that I just purchased this and the tungsten ring I was wearing from them. She said she couldnt believe peoples word which I get but her attitude and demeanor was very abrasive and unprofessional. I came home and found the receipt but after that experience I'll chalk my loss up and won't ever go back. Stay away...
