Worst experience of my life. It was so bad I am disputing the charges with my credit card company. I will try and keep this short, but the list is long and it's ALL bad.
My friend and I booked a massage for 11:00am as we had a long flight and couldn't check into the hotel until 3:00pm and thought a 2 hour massage would be a great way to kill the time.
Their website showed they opened at 10:00am and so we headed over early to hit the steam room. We waited 20 minutes at the front desk, called the front desk twice, and no one came. Eventually we made it to the change room. Because no one was around, and we were exhausted from the flight we saw no harm in changing and showering. Perhaps we should have waited but we had limited time before our massage and we really wanted to steam. The shower had a broken soap dispenser and an empty shampoo dispenser.
The toilet in the mens bathroom had a large crack in the seat that made it impossible to use without pinching. There was also no toilet paper.
When we emerged from the shower the lady was angry that had gone ahead and showered, and maybe rightly so. I explained that I had phoned and waited. I even left a message on their machine.
We proceeded to have a short 10 minute steam as we had to wait forever to get in and our steam time was lost and then sat in the waiting room for our massage. We waited for another 15 minutes past our appointment time before being taken in to our respective rooms.
My massage was performed by Garys. He started me lying face up (which is the first time I have ever started my massage face up). He started by massaging my neck. His pressure was light, too light. To be clear I asked for lighter pressure, so at this point he is just doing what he has been asked. I requested more pressure. His massage technique was all thumbs. He would do small circles with his thumbs over whatever muscle he was working. So, when I asked for an increase in pressure, it would only last a few seconds. I would then have to ask again. Typically during a massage the pain is enough to feel uncomfortable, but good. His massage was so light I fell asleep, numerous times. Gary insisted on waking me up every ten minutes to ask me another stupid question about my life even when I ignored him a couple times. When it was time to roll over, he simply turned away leaving me to fumble and bumble with the blanket and the sheet while simultaneously trying to roll over and scoot up the table. It was awful.
The room had no music, just a loud A/C that cranked on and off in 10-15 minute cycles. My massage ended exactly at 1Pm even though we paid for a 2 hour massage and it started 20 minutes late.
My friends massage wasn't any better. Stacey the one who performed the massage outright refused to massage his feet or upper quads. Her long braided hair constantly falling on him during the massage as it was not tied up. No music in his room either. It also ended early.
This place is a joke of a spa. The $20 chairs in the mall will give you a better experience.
When we voiced our complaints and asked for a reasonable discount to be applied, we were accused of "trying to get a free massage". We expressed all of our concerns above and were met with rudeness and hostility. $570 USD for this is a joke. I wouldn't pay $50 but offered to pay half of the bill.
Save yourself the money and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
Unprofessional, lacking amenities, poor quality... It's...
Read moreThis “spa” is a complete scam. They had advertised a Mom’s special for $135. We inquired and were told the service included both a massage and facial. Stacey, was clearly not a trained RMT or aesthetician. The massage was amateur and the facial consisted of a couple of lotions being applied and lasted 10 minutes.
Once done, I went to pay and was charged $284 USD. The tip screen then appeared and suddenly $65 USD was added with my new total coming to $350 USD!! Stacey then made the comment “You Canadian don’t usually tip” and laughed. When I questioned the $350 charge and that I’d booked the $135 Mom’s special, I was told that this was not what I had booked and that the facial was extra. When questioned further, Stacey became defensive and tried to insinuate that we hadn’t inquired about the price even though we had clearly asked the details of the services prior to booking.

Read moreMaybe we just hit them on an off day but I was unimpressed. We were staying in the hotel and I stopped in to make a reservation. Took 10 minutes for someone to come to the desk. Scheduled a nail appointment for later in the day.
I should have trusted my gut when the lady at the desk was surprised we were scheduling a nail appointment (it was on the list of services). We showed up 10 minutes early and waited 20 minutes PAST the scheduled appointment before they acknowledged our presence. Took another 10 minutes for the technician to take us back to the pedicure area, where she didn’t know how to work the bowls.
My daughter and I both just ended up getting polish which took more than 2 hours from our scheduled appointment. Our nails look okay but not amazing....
