Lovisa — Local services in Jackson Township

Normally love this store… we have four daughters and this is where we come for bday gifts and homecoming/prom jewelry. We came in a couple nights ago to have our daughters ears pierced. We entered the store and stood by the piercing station looking at the options. The female employee sat behind the counter on her phone.. didn’t greet us or ask if we needed help. Finally my husband approached the counter and told her we were there for an ear piercing. She informed us that, “we aren’t doing anymore piercings tonight. The store closes in 20 minutes and a piercing takes 20 minutes. You will have to come back another time.” It was RUDE, and if you ask me, extremely unprofessional. There were no other customers in the store and she was not doing anything productive. I stated loudly, “ok then, let’s go to Clair’s.”. Which we did. There was one girl working at Clair’s, and there were two other people there for piercings. She had a lot going on for one employee and she was still pleasant, professional, and very kind/comforting to our daughter. We paid about double the price… but even so, if we need to do this again, will go...

I got my ears pierced here in April and had a good experience while there. The women was very kind and reassuring as I was scared for the piercing. However, about 4 months into having them done I finally took the earrings out for the first time and had an extremely difficult time getting the same earrings back in. It was so painful getting it through that eventually I got it back in. Until just a few days ago I took them out again after seeing bacteria oozing out of the area where my earring hole is. It was absolutely disgusting. I took the earrings out to clean my ear and I tried and tried and tried to get my earrings back in and whatever I attempted, nothing worked. It hurt terribly to try to get them back in and nothing worked. So I left my earrings out for 3 days and it seems as if the holes closed. I cannot get my earrings in no matter what and now i’m just extremely disappointed. This makes no sense as I cleaned my ears every morning and night with the solution they provided me with for probably about 5 weeks. I DO NOT recommend getting your ears...

I typically like what I get here, however I bought earrings for a special occasion which broke within a day due to being extremely poor quality (despite still costing me money). Upon looking at the receipt, I see they will not refund earrings for "hygiene reasons." This makes sense as they could not resell them, but it is still unfair to the customers who spend their money on items that immediately break! Their bracelets are very nice, but I wouldn't reccomend buying earrings here if you want...
