After being refused seating & service at the OTHER Mexican restaurant because, as my partner so elegantly put it “they’re stuck in 1822 this is 2022” we came here. (yes we’re a mixed couple AND I’m part Filipina so am always mistaken for being much younger so YOU decide. Me personally I deal with insecure GIRLS ALL the time that are upset when they find out they’re not the hottest thing walking the earth)
It was serendipitous, the food was amazing & was just what I needed. I don’t eat pork & had no desire for German food like my partner so he went out of his way to please me & get me my Mexican food fix. Even with no A/C, a long wait since they were very busy with most tables being 5 or more people & the party that was seated before us was 8, it was well worth the trouble & wait. I was starving after a long day of driving & hiking so wasn’t thinking pics when I got my food but I wish I had. The Carne Asada even tho it was cooked more to my liking was the best I’ve ever had. I even got pico de gallo with it which isn’t the norm for me & was such a pleasant surprise. Our drinks stayed topped off & the service was very attentive & courteous even with a big rush going on. They even apologized for the smell coming from the restaurant below. You could tell they were tired & had a long day which the other place wasn’t so much on the same page. “We’re not taking any customers at this time so ya” is as professional as they could get so you can thank the other places inability to provide at least mediocre service for our business & I certainly am happy we came after initially trying the other place simply for a 4.4 & 4.3 difference but had I read a little further down I would have seen they are lacking in customer service when it comes to a certain demographic as far as I can see. I’ll be happy to come again next time we come through & we will be since my partner seems to fancy the town. Thank you for excellent...
Read moreTerrible food and customer service. They are upstairs and they have a sign downstairs that says ring bell to be seated or call their phone number. We rang the bell a couple times and waited several minutes but no one came down. We called and they said we could just come up. Then why have a sign outside anyways? After we were seated, we waited forever again and noticed they took orders from a couple parties that came in after us and totally forgot about us.
The food wasn't any better. The beans tasted so bad they didn't even taste like beans at all. They tasted like you know what. Almost as if they were using beans they had cooked several weeks ago. Not sure what kind of oil they used but I've never tasted beans this bad in my life before. The rest of the food tasted terrible also and I just couldn't finish my plate.
Hopefully they get their act together because it's a great location and they have lots of potential. They've been here a few years already and you'd figure they would've had better food and service by now. Definitely not coming...
Read moreI went to Leavenworth for my honeymoon. We asked around for a good restaurant and we were referred to Los Camperos. One of the servers was very nice and the other was quite rude. I ordered the beef nachos supreme and was given cheese beef and tomatoes that was it! I found one stray jalapenos in my nachos as well as one piece of green onion. The not so nice waitress kept eyeballing me and my husband as we tried to eat. After receiving our bill I saw that I had been charged a $1.99 upgrade for supreme nacho which I did not receive, and then again another $2.99 for sour cream. I let it go and even tipped a fair amount. However, reality hit as soon as I left the building. I became extremely sick and the sickness lasted for a couple days. It didn't stop until the last night of my honeymoon where I stayed up dry wrenching all night until the sun came up. My husband and I are so upset that our honeymoon was ruined! This was 100% the worst food poisoning that I have ever had. Please, stay away...
