My girlfriend and I visited L27 Rooftop Bar last night. The view is truly amazing and and the music/dj was the highlight of the visit. Unfortunately, neither the menu items or the service are on par with the view. When we arrived the bar was relatively empty and most of the patrons there had already been served. After we took our seats the hostess brought us our menus and told us someone would take our order shortly. However, the wait was anything but short. In fact it was amazingly awkward. Beside the fact that another group was attended to who actually arrived after us, our seating also gave us a full view of the barista and the hostess and one other server who all continuously avoided us. At one point we actually saw them debate over who was going to come take our orders, as they pointed in our direction. After over 30 minutes of waiting we finally received one of our drinks...a sparkling julep ...in a dirty plasticware flute. The flute was so dirty that you could actually feel and see the grime on the outside of the glass and immediately noticeable. I took the drink back to the bar and showed them the sticky grime that was all over the glass, and they said would bring another one. About 15 minutes later they finally returned with the julep as well as the drink that I had ordered, a jalapeno fox (also in a plasticware cup). Since we had been waiting a long time already I asked if we could order our food, but was told to wait a minute for them to come back and take it. That minute turned into an additional ten minutes, and at this point I was ready to go, but I was also pretty famished so we stayed. There isn't a lot of variety on the menu, but we ordered the flatbread and the chili hummus. Our food finally arrived, well over an hour after we took our seats. Needless to say the drinks and both food items were mediocre. I didn't receive anywhere enough pita bread to go with the hummus and I was charged $3 more for extra pita bread. At some point right before we received our food we were given another waitress who was nice. Unfortunately, it was a little too late. Overall, I was very disappointed with the whole experience. For two juleps, one jalapeno fox(cocktail), a flatbread, and hummus we spent $70 not including the tip. For the price, I expected somewhat of an upscale experience with much better service. Not once did anyone apologize for the dirty plasticware or for the ridiculously long time we had to wait in order to even receive any attention. Honestly, I would have been understanding if there was some kind of communication, but the attitude we felt from the staff was along the line of "we will get to you when we get to you." The service was so bad that I left a note on the receipt saying just as much. If you want a better experience overall, I'd recommend going to the rooftop bar at the new Thompson Hotel in the Gulch. While the view there isn't quite as nice (although still awesome) the food, drinks, service, and overall quality FAR surpass that of the L27 Rooftop Bar. I was considering paying for the NYE celebration they are having for $200 a person but if my experience last night was any indication it's not worth the money or...
Read moreDO. NOT. EAT. HERE. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The L27 Rooftop Lounge has provided and continues to provide abysmal customer service. I went to the Megan Moroney pop up with my friends on August 29th, 2025 and I got charged $90 when my bill was only $35 (including the tip). First off, the waitress we were assigned was absolutely horrible and barely checked on us (we'd see her probably every 30 minutes or so). The original time that she came around to our table, she took our orders, and then 10 minutes later my group started to walk around to look at the pop up decorations, only for her to come back to ask what our orders were again. We got our food after waiting a long time, and after we finished eating, we waited a while again so that we could get the checks. When she came back, she didn't bother to ask how we wanted it done--instead, she just brought us one check. We asked if we could split it and she told us she didn't remember who got what. My friend then took the check, wrote down who ordered what by seat number for her and then handed her the information. The waitress went back and brought us separate checks, however, THEY WERE WRONG. So my friend, yet again, wrote out who had what. The waitress took a while in the back, so much so that the manager had to check on her. When she finally came back the checks were finally right so we paid and left. Days later, my friend texts our group chat and tells us to look at our bank accounts because she was charged the amount for the whole table ($160). I was charged the initial $35 and then they changed it to $90 and all I ordered was one mocktail and their burger with fries. My two other friends were charged their amounts as well (on top of my friends $160). I have tried to contact the rooftop MULTIPLE TIMES. Don't bother trying to call the restaurant because they literally never pick up (I've tried calling them on different days and different hours and it goes straight to voicemail). The hotel takes no accountability either because I've even called them about it and all they will do is push you to the restaurant voicemail. I've even tried contacting the managers via email (one of which I sent on September 2nd) and I STILL haven't heard anything. Please, please, please, whatever you do--save the headaches and...
Read moreIf you are going for Megan Moroney, PLEASE READ! My bachelorette party and I made a reservation for the Emo Cowgirl pop-up. When we walked in, we were extremely impressed with the setup/decor themed to match Megan Moroney. That is literally the peak of the entire experience. There was a DJ playing house music the entire time. The server said they play Meg only during the week (LOL, what?). We asked the DJ to play 1 or 2 of her songs and he said “I don’t know who that is. What does she sing?” (LIKE WHAT? Look around???) Needless to say, we listened to boring house music the entire time. We reserved a cabana, so we were sat outside. The top level was closed off, so we did not get to see the entire pop-up. Service was slow, but it seemed like there was only 1 server outside running around like crazy, so we were not upset with him. We ordered food and drinks. Six out of 8 dinners came at the same time, 7 out of 8 drinks came out. The missing drink came shortly after. One of the missing dinners came out 25 minutes later, after we spoke to the server, the food runner, the hostess, and the bartender. After 15 more minutes, the final dinner came out. Obviously at that point everyone was ready to go and the entire vibe was ruined. While we were waiting we were getting bored, so we started just looking around and checking out the view. Some random man in a suit jacket came and posted up like security. It was kind of strange, and we were wishing he’d do something productive like go get the food we were waiting on rather than standing there. He eventually just wandered off, kind of weird but oh well. We ended up asking for a manager and who I believe was the assistant manager came over. He was extremely nice and apologetic, and comped the 2 dinners that were way behind. Overall, this is a huge disservice to Megan Moroney and I wonder if she/her management team are aware of how poorly she is being represented. We ran into a few girls who shared feelings, so I’m sure many Megan fans are extremely disappointed. The fact that her music wasn't even being played, told me all I needed to know. I truly hope this does not have a negative impact on Megan in the long run. I am definitely feeling like L27 is using her name for business, but not holding...
